I love everything about summer except the excess amount of weird ass looking bugs that seem to enter my room.

Enjoy today's selected forecast, then.

I tend to dislike how people stay out later at night. Sometimes all night. Whining about pools closing at the start of the noise ordinance period.

The increased exposure to the sun puts a lot more serotonin in my body improving my mood. That's what I like.
What I don't like is that I also become angrier around the summer time. I don't like being angry.

Definitely hate the heat/humidity. Trying to do yard work is a coin toss on whether I'll get heat exhaustion or not.. when there aren't tornadoes or thunderstorms blocking me from doing anything outdoors (and letting the yard more and more resemble a rain forest), heh.

Do like visiting water parks this time of year, though.

Pros;
warm weather
less clothes to wear
no huge heating bills
great picnics
some sun
holidays
outdoor activities
I have more energy when there's sun around
Dawn is around 4am and dusk is at 10pm so you can fit a lot in your day.

cons;
Dawn is around 4am and since I automatically naturally follow the sun cycle. I awake whether I need to or not even if my bedtime was midnight or later.
can get too hot
hay fever season
Insect season
too much free time
Going on the underground at this time is madness. There's no air conditioning, phone don't work there and at rush hours bodies are packed like sardines in a can. If there's some delay your stuff in this sweltering heat sandwiched in between bodies for minutes and bro once had an hour stuck like that. He saw grown people start to cry.

Early morning wakeups--which come straight through my bedroom window, causing me to adopt darker sheets which act more as "blackout curtains" when I pull them over my face
Late 9pm sunsets, which are nice if I'm out walking around the town, but also means my body clock is still geared for winter hours of getting dinner when it gets dark at 6, and now it's 8pm before I realize I'm forgetting something...

Just as bad as the heat itself is the humidity. Especially, when it's coupled with allergens in the air.

Black out curtains and pulling the covers over my head never works. My body knows its dawn even if I darken the room. Last year I gave up doing that and left one window curtain open all night long. When I'm being all healthy its perfect to use for yoga to do the sun salute. I do love being able to take late strolls in the evenings though. My tummy is fine whenever I decide to have dinner.

When I was in school, I would love not having class to worry about! I also enjoyed hanging out with friends. This is my first summer out of school (for a while at least), so now I'll have a regular job instead of having tons of hours of free time. Although, I still do enjoy going out to summer-themed events with friends and it's a plus that the sun goes down later.

I don't like the extreme heat, though!

The heat! oh, the horror.

I despise it.

I would much rather live in a cold place. in between temperatures. ;o;
