No. They have lackluster content.

It depends. I was perfectly fine with the advertisements, until an ad interrupted an OVA and "broke" the stream. The video froze during the commercial, and I wasn't allowed to click onto a different page. I ended up having to close the tab.

When I had the free 14 day trial, I liked it a lot. I liked watching new episodes right when they came out, and reading manga. I was interested in watching some dramas, but I didn't have time and the ones I want to watch need the premium membership. The best part for me is that it's legal, and I am actually supporting the anime/manga industry. My brother who used my account on his x-box loved it. We are both planning to get the year premium membership soon.

If you're asking that means you can afford it, so I won't even bother with snarky budget comments as some seem to have that covered

I've had both. Here's the catch.

Cons:
1.The site itself does not work better
2. you get no privacy options (with any membership)
3. your video can STILL be slow and hang up badly (depending upon multiple factors like connection speed).
4. The points you get for it mean absolutely nothing, nor do the badges, and you can still do 99% of the things you can do now (without it).
5. Your profile lacks more options such as Wallpaper and Leaderboard/Header options for beautification.

Pros:
1. no commercials
2. specialties where CONS (conventions) are concerned that-if you are going to these, DOES make it worth your money
3. discounted pricing + free shipping at the CR store.
4. on your profile you get to have Wallpaper and a Leaderboard/Header and a fancy little icon next to your name.

So, to wrap up, if you don't go to conventions and/or don't buy from the CR store REGULARLY and you don't mind commercials, nor do you mind not having a more 'fancy' profile page, then no, it's an absolute waste. Even for 6$ let alone $12

If, on the other hand, you do either purchase from the store a lot or go to conventions regularly, or you HATE ads, or/and you desire to have fancy wallpaper & Leaderboard, that icon next to your name, more points and badges, wish to support the site itself for no other reason than charity's sake...then yes, it's right for you.

You forgot that a lot of anime on crunchyroll requires a premium membership to watch. You are also at the very least a week behind every seasonal anime they license. Besides that, this guide is pretty definitive.

I pay an annual price of $60 to CR and $40 to Funimation. $100/year to watch practically any anime, old or new, without commercials is a huge plus for me. Also, I don't have traditional cable so it's great to come home and be able to watch it on my Roku on a flat screen. When I was younger I wouldn't mind exploring free sites, but it's a very laborious and piecemeal process (especially if you watch 3+ episodes in a sitting like me). Sites may not work or 5 different pop-ups may load every time you start the video. It's too big a headache...

I say it is. I grew up with anime so I love anime giving $12 a month isn't much to support something you love. (That's my personal opinion though.) Of course I do buy Mangas and DvDs but having crunchyroll with me on Phone, PS4 and all my devices really helps honestly love that.

After they found out about AdBlock, yes That's the only reason I got premium. But honestly, they need to invest in a better video player, because I know my internet connection is good and sometimes the video freezes on 480p

Support the industry. Don't be that guy. I subscribe to both Funimation and Crunchyroll. Personally I find Crunchy roll to be leagues better than Funimation but they both have their pros and cons. Crunchyroll just keeps improving though, their summer simulcast line up completely trumps anything that Funimation got their hands on. If Crunchyroll gets any better I may end up dropping the funi subscription. Simply too much anime not enough time. Supporting something you love should always be worth it. The subscription rates are fair and you get commercial free streaming the day of or day after it airs in Japan. That means no asshole will spoil your favorite show for you on the internet...

If you are in a region that gets frequent simulcasts for every season, than i say it's absolutely worth it. Also if you like watching the shows as soon as they come out, then of course.
I used to have it and it was worth every cent i paid for it. I don't anymore because i get the shows straight from the japanese tv stations, so i just dvr them and am good.

I say yes due to the fact that Hulu lost a lot of its anime shows last month. This is the main reason I decided to go premium and this is coming from someone who adamantly refused to pay way back when CR went legit

I don't have the money for that but I would go for it if I did, It's not that much to add to the bill but I only say that because I go on this site everyday so to me it would be worth it.
