Does fire and explosions really make anything better in when it some to media?

I'll admit that it is flashy, but that does not mean it is better. What are your thoughts on this?
Please keep it down to one gifs or pic per post.

Updated to give a better direction.

No. A book on fire is not very enjoyable at all.

In movies and video games, sometimes. In real life no.

It depends. Like if it's a forest fire no. But if it's for lighting up candles on a birthday cake or camping then yes. For explosives, fireworks are nice for that.

And an explosion is not an efficient way to make toast.

It totally does. Burning things is pretty goddamn fun, but maybe thats just me. Especially big fires and explosions, those are obviously the best. Thats why bonfires, and fireworks are pretty fun. Or ya know, just burning something to the ground, equally cool. (I am not an arsonist I swear)

Now if its something like a commercial airline exploding with people inside, that is in fact making things much, much worse. But recreational explosions and fires are pretty cool yo.

No, of course not. But, if you change the question to "Could soulless explosions and bedridden dialogue possibly be more catchy than a good plot?" Then, yes. Yes, of course, it often is.

If you're watching an intense action film, yes. If you're shopping in a crowded supermarket, no. Oh, and if you're watching Mythbusters, Hella Yes!!!!!

Unfortunately, the question is in the title. The title can't be changed. I will clarify the question a bit more.
