Japanese and English are different. You do not understand Japanese the same way you understand English, because you do not speak Japanese the same as english. So you are more sensitive to English voices then Japanese voices because you understand it so you can find more things to complain about. If you want to like Japanese voices more then you can, the same way if you like Chocolate over strawberry ice cream then you can. but if you are just saying it sucks just because it is in english then it is almost like saying a violinist is a better musician then a trumpet player because I like the sound of the violin more then the trumpet even if they are playing the same song, instead of judging based on if the person is good at playing the instrument itself. Also watch this video by Gigguk that kind of sums up how i feel about this and i think makes a lot of sense. If you want to like Japanese more you can and it does not mean you hate dub you just like something else more, but it does not mean that English voice actors do not work hard or that it is any less better just because it is in English.

I watch dubtitles, which instantly makes me better than all of you.

Subs are obviously better. The voice actors are better and its translated better with subs. There is only a handful of anime where I actually prefer dub but overall sub is far superior.

I generally stick with subtitled anime because I have a preference for seeing the original Japanese
dialogue be unchanged. However, I make exceptions for dubbed shows if the voice acting is top-
notch (re: Spirited Away).

For me it just really depends on the voice acting and which I feel goes better with a character.

I love English dub anime, and I love anime sub anime more. Listening to the characters voice in Japanese is enjoyable.

For anime neither one, since I speak Japanese. But I always watch non-Japanese foreign movies/TV shows in their original language with English subtitles, never dubbed. It's just my preference.

I don't give a damn and no one cares about what you guys like, I watch whatever fits my mood. I could easily watch Outlaw Star dubbed, because I grew up watching it English dubbed. Fujiko's Unlucky Days could have gotten better dubbing, but Lupin without Tony Oliver's voice just doesn't sound the same.

It depends on the series and the director.

In both English and Japanese, I can name shows that have pretty much identical casts, and one of them is really well-acted, but the other one is horrible. The difference is whether or not the director cared enough for that particular show.

I can think of shows that are great in English and horrible in Japanese, I can think of some that are the other way, I can think of some where both are great, but thankfully, I can't think of any where both are bad. Except maybe a couple of things where it's really the writing that's bad, but that's a different story.

I personally prefer to watch dub. I'll only watch sub if that's the only translation available for an anime I desperately want to watch. However I don't think one is better than the other, they both have their perks, for me I find that when I watch dub I can concentrate better when watching an anime, and when I watch the sub I improve my speed reading ability and I can learn a few Japanese words here and there.

it depends on a few things. If im doing other stuff and cant sit and watch it dub if im really into the show and i set time aside to watch it sub. theirs other reasons why one might be better over the other really depends.

But if your asking what you watch more of it'd be sub for me as i find it better they mess a few things up on dubs if you watch same show subed and buded you see a lot of small things that can add up and change the story witch is kinda sad and leaves you with questions if you only watch the dubs

dubs can be good if they put effort into it. the dub opening of SAO, and EF: A tale of memories/melodies was pretty good.
as for voice acting, they did a good job with yugioh and dbz

i still prefer the original, Japanese-dub. sub quality can vary greatly (the ones in my previous post are an example of subs gone wrong)
