I dont have a dream. I was always indecisive and unsure i guess.
I never really had a father that was encouraging or forceful.
Plus i was pretty low and confidence and self belief and filled with shyness and self doubt for a time there.
Was a bit of a follower in ways for a time also.

When i was really young i loved playing cricket but stopped, there was a time i wanted to join the military but didn't, i guess there was a time i wanted to make an album (music) but stopped.

I dont know i guess you kind of have dreams more so when you're young (for me anyways) but some of them are more just fantasies or hobbies but i never had a dream as far as a career path or about a wife n kids or house.

I found i took steps in life such as coming out of my shell, gaining confidence, doing stuff with a girl, getting a job, getting a car and a license, getting a credit card, getting a better job (better pay and working conditions), moving out of home, etc.
But i guess they're all just life not really fulifilling dreams.

For some reason i never dreamt of a particular career or a facny car or house or a wife or kids.

I now think that owning a house (rather than just renting) would be the best feeling in the world but i feel its too late for me now in some ways. Same deal with wife n kids but i never really overly wanted that.

I guess we all have dreamed about being rich but i never had a dream to make it happen, it was more a dream about winning the lotto or something..
I guess i have dreamed about certain or certain types of women or going to Japan and the like but for the most part i haven't put in the required effort to make those sorts of dreams happen.

I think people limit their dreams, most are always either career choices or famous celebrity (musician, actor, artist) or rich.

Like why would you limit your wants or dreams to just career choices, who said you can't have multiple or want something totally different.

I have always wanted to be a popular YouTuber/Twitch streamer. I enjoy entertaining others and the non-personal attention I would receive. It will most likely never happen, though, because I have nothing unique to offer, and I refuse to put out low quality content. I'm not creative enough for videos, and when I play video games, I'm dead silent, because I'm focused, and no one wants to watch that.

I dont have dreams. Dreams are what motivates me. Without motivation, everything would be depressing.

My dream is to be a well respected music producer. My biggest inspiration is Nujabes. It's honestly what gets me through tough times. My eye sights are pretty bad, but my ears are more precious to me. Music is the magic in my life.

My dream would be to not have to worry about paying bills and spend my days making music. If I was rich I'd be so content with life.

You need to keep in mind that we are always changing and developing. If your dream was to be a firefighter and someone told you that you couldn't do it. I think if you were passionate enough you would go through with it. Since you lack passion and drive you won't see anything getting done.

" I certainly don't want any physical possession that I don't already have". Having a dream isn't about getting physical objects or gaining anything from it. You are saying you aren't lazy but you give up too easily or you aren't interested enough. That's fine, not everyone wakes up and knows what they want. You may be interested in something but you don't see yourself going for it career-wise. A dream is something that should be forever changing. In my opinion not putting all your eggs in one basket is a good thing.

Passion grows within people once they find that special thing they love doing. Not everyone has a certain special thing. Some people have many different ones. I learned this the hard way as well when I felt lost trying to find that one thing. Don't limit yourself. If you want love go for it and keep in mind that a dream is nothing but aspirations we create for ourselves over time. Some dreams are small and easily attainable. It all starts when you start creating goals for yourself.

You don't have to keep romanticizing the concept of having a huge dream like everyone else. You sound like you feel a little lost. But, that's okay because life is just a journey of experiences.

You know my people have the exact opposite opinion. That everyone was given a gift and born into this world for a purpose. And that unhappiness stems from not using that gift for the purpose it was meant for. Between your viewpoint and theirs I'll trust the wisdom of my ancestors.

It gives me some small hope that a lot of people aren't as useless as they appear. I'd rather believe those who fulfil or at least chase their dreams are not the exception but rather the norm that should be lived up to. After all what point is there in life if you're not living it to make not only your life better but those around you as well?

If you want to make someones life better and find purpose in that then it's all fine. Not everyone is happy with that. It has nothing to do with ancestors telling you that joining the armed forces or becoming part of the family business, ect. it has to do with what you want as a person. If you feel fulfilled in what you are doing then you are achieving a dream.

Who cares? Everyone is different. Your normie damage control won't fix anything unless you actually feel the passion to achieve it.
