I really don't mind if others loved it because it is a Baskin-Robbins' world. Besides as all these contests/polls show..I got bad taste in anime.

I'm right there with you man. The stuff I eat up, other people detest. The stuff I loathe looking at you ONE) other people gobble like it's going extinct.

You and I have similar tastes which is why we're buddies. One reason anyways. But the italicized and red part was ......

It was a joke/poke towards ONE. the artist of One Punch Man, Mob Psycho, etc.

Even though I actually like Mob Psycho so far.

Ah Okay. I'm culturally unhip (and never watched those shows) so missed the reference.

Dropping an Anime for me is almost always after episode 4. I figure the first 3 episodes are going to be a bunch of flailing around trying to establish characters or trying to sync to some part of a manga's pre-existing expectations. Usually before I dump a title I make sure to go back and watch the first few episodes just in case I have missed something that would hold my attention if I had been able to watch it without the week in-between episodes and countless other things I've watched between episodes. That is not to say that there are not shows I get through the first episode and wonder what I was thinking when I thought "this sounds like it might be good".

usually when something starts screaming at me "THIS IS GENERIC GARBAGE" within the first minute or so of watching a show i will drop it.
examples of this would be triage X and infinite stratos, but sometimes there are some that will take another 10 or so minutes before it starts screaming that, like recently cerberus and hundred(aka infinite stratos clone1)

usually try to stick though a show but... I say a story that goes nowhere, annoying characters, characters that don't grow or develop, and plot holes but big one is boring everything. I talking about boring story, characters, dialog, it feels like a chore to watch it and/or it feels a 25 min episode last and hour... that and bad art and animation.

Too much fanservice, stupid characters, slow pacing and too much self righteousness.

Just dropped Kabaneri and Fate/Zero. I can't stand the characters in Kabaneri . Fate/Zero is okay, but hasnt interested me so far.

Maybe, one day I'll finally finish it.

I usually know what I'm getting into when I start a show, so drops are fairly uncommon, but typically with episodic shows, sometimes I just don't want to watch another episode. Like with "Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto" I watched one episode, enjoyed it but felt like I'm totally fine with never seeing another episode again. I might watch some more sometime, but I'm not particularly excited about it.

- Over abundance of fan service, fan service being borderline hentai, or trying to use rape/abuse/etc as a means of fan service (if its for the sake of shock value I can at least overlook it but not if its just for fan service).
- A story that doesn't pull my interest at all.
- It has characters that are all unlikable for me.
- It ruins a story for the sake of edge/shock value.
- Using yuri (yaoi too but I don't see that as often) for fan service instead of actually having a deep relationships (like y'know hetero couples).

I dropped Twin Star Exorcist because I wanted to strangle the familiar every time it opened it's mouth. There aren't many things that will get me to drop a series once I start but a character I can't stand who gets regular screen time is possibly #1 on the list. (It's why I won't watch Fairy Tail. Natsu makes me want to punch the world.)

Nothing really. If I started it I will finish it. Never know what might happen towards the middle of the series itself.

I drop an anime when it no longer has anything of interest to me in it or when they pull a "Castle" on me (complete reset after a long drawn out progress finally being made). Luckily, I can probably count the number of anime I've dropped on my fingers without having to continue on to my toes .

I find myself disassociating with animes that have "mary sue" characters or an inconsistent plot.
