Let's not and say we didn't.

It's Australia. It doesn't even count.

Saw the rape comment he made to that one women.
A martyr this man is not.
While 3 years in jail is excessive to me, he does seem like someone who deserved a glove slap to the face (not that I'd do that).

Martyr or not, whether he was right or wrong or not, talking about what can get you arrested in Australia is the same as talking about what will get you killed in North Korea.

Everything.

He told a woman he wanted to rape her! I'm for free speech, but that is not ok.

It's offensive, sure. Can you say it was an honest desire on his part? That he was likely to do so? That there was a reasonable probability of that EVER occurring? Should he have been arrested and sentenced to three years in prison for SAYING MEAN THINGS?

Not jail, no. He least deserved a sock in the jaw, though.

Ya know chauvinism once meant an exaggerated patriotism and a belligerent belief in national superiority and glory. Now it means you hate women..God bless the Queen's, damn language is always changing it's mind.

As for the good ole down under..well they've always been the special child of the commonwealth ya know.

However, in today's society, corporal punishment is considered cruel, while locking people in cage for years isn't.
