So i have heard people call those who wear sunglasses inside douchebags and the same with those who wear socks and sandals (i do this at times and have gone out in public like so because it's comfortable).

Now when i hear people judge others because of their clothing and call them douchebags i can only just see them as douchebags themselves for being so overworked and annoyed about how others dress.

End of the day i think people should dress however they like

When I see someone with shades indoors and a wife beater. I think to myself. "that guy looks like a douchebag" The keyword being looks. He could be a nice guy. Judgment is sort of second nature. I don't like to judge but I'd be lying if I said I didn't judge people every once in a while. It's not polite but most..... if not all of us do it.

Maybe my memory is wrong, but there seemed to be a lot less judgemental people about fashion before we had "designer clothing." With the rise of designer brands for the masses like Jordache Jeans, Izod, and Polo suddenly the clothing advertised how much it had cost to buy it and those with the money to buy the real designer brands lorded it over those who could only afford to buy standard brands or the imitation designer clothes. This was part of the rise of the Yuppies and the whole Yuppie Handbook to fashion... There were some who fought back against the trend like the Dead Crok Shirt

which mocked Izod.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croc_O%27_Shirt The highly publicized lawsuit against Mad Dog by Lacoste for that trademark infringement only made the designer clothing more desireable to many.

However, mocking people who simply don't know how to dress themselves because they wear clothing the wrong size, or too many patterns, or clashing colors, or socks that don't match, has always been around.

Clothing is often an expression of self. I wear a lot of nerdy and comfortable shit.

So I'm wearing a League shirt, and you thought maybe I liked playing that game? Maybe I'm a competitive dickwad? You judgemental piece of shit--you were right!

They use them because it obscures their eyes. It makes it easier to ogle pretty girls without being noticed. It may look like they're looking at a girls face but they could easily just be staring down their shirt. They also think it looks cool but it just comes off as trying too hard. Shades can look cool though.

Sunglasses at night weren't a big thing until this... https://youtu.be/X2LTL8KgKv8

Prior to that video making them a fashion accessory, the only ones who wore them other than in the sun were trying to hide something - either that their eyes were bloodshot from drug or alcohol use or that they were ogling everyone of the opposite sex.

But between the music video above, and ZZ Top doing Cheap Sunglasses https://youtu.be/cKKJV0Aiiv0 and the Information Society putting out Mirrorshades https://youtu.be/IAvQsHlGC7o and the popularity of Ray Bans it was inevitable that sunglasses become a fashion statement instead of just a way to hide whether or not your eyes were dilated or pinpoint due to the drugs.

In high school I had hair passed my shoulders, smoked and wore heavy metal concert t-shirts. Never smoked weed, drank or tested various substance containing concoctions. I was labeled a pot head until people got to know me. Still listen to my metal and work for my money honestly. The preps in school wore the nice clothing, drank like fish, were rarely sober and most have been arrested numerous times. have even seen one of the "popular prep jocks" on an interstate exit with a Homeless Please Help sign. Yeah, judgments can be way off, but its part of being human.
