I have been trying for just about 2 months now to reinstall Chrunchyroll on my phone, and have yet to succeed because of this stupid "error 505" code..... I've tried everything in the help section to remedy the problem and still nothing helps... Is anyone else having this issue, and if so, how the heck do you fix it???

I have had the same issue ever since the May 26 update. The update came out and I kept trying to download the update and got the -505 error. I kept getting the error for a few weeks before I decided to re-install, that was a mistake because now I can't downloaded the app. It just gives me the same error. My phone is an lg g3 as I assume yours is too because many people with the g3 are experiencing this same error. Support hasn't helped much, pretty much just said to sit and wait for a new update, which I was willing to do, but 2 months has passed since this started and no new updates have come out. I am a subscriber to the service and my phone is r eally the only thing I can use atm to watch crunchy roll so if this issue isn't resolved shortly I will probably unsubscribe until it is fixed. I mean even sending us g3 users an .apk file from before the update so we can still watch in the meantime would make me happy.

I'm in the same boat and RanaLoca described my situation exactly.

Although I am on a LG G4 with Android 6.0 from Verizon. I will open a support ticket as well.

It's an issue with the version of Android you have it worked just fine for me on lollipop but my phone got sent in and got updated to marshmallow. They have to make it compatible. But yeah same error here 505 on LG G4

Just got my Samsung S7 Edge last week and I haven't been able to download either. Same -505 error over and over. Sucks cuz I'm traveling tomorrow

Same issue here, even did a Factory Reset of my Marshall London (latest firmware with Android Lollipop, Marshall doesn't seem to care for updating to the latest version of Android) to see if that would resolve anything, it doesn't. This seems to be clearly a issue on your/Google's end. On the bright side, it did install on the SHIELD TV, which is more important to me.

The Manga app does install just fine btw.

I've been having the problem. My phone is still on Lollipop, and I have the Galaxy S5. Only stopped updating around May.

I'm also an LG G4 user who cannot reinstall the Crunchyroll app. 505 error received with every attempt to update/reinstall.

Ah so im not the only LG G4 user thats having this problem sense my phone upgraded to the 6.0 update. Good to know i guess. Ended up canceling my membership as the app was the only way i could watch aanything. As android i descovered dose not suport flash player.
Hope its fixed soon..

yes it does work now but you have to give it a couple tries before it accepts tha download, thank you for the trouble CR
