Your opinion on plastic surgery?
Posted 6/23/16
All I have to say is do it because you want to not because of what others say. And with that I don't really care what you do to yourself.

Well they can't plastic surgery their personality. If you're ugly inside, you're ugly outside as far as I'm concerned.

I feel that plastic surgery is self degrading. To me you have self esteem issues if you need to pump yourself with toxins and plastic just to feel good about yourself. I understand if it's necessary for medical reasons.

Unless you have a birth defect or some deformity, no one should get plastic surgery. Only insecure people who can't love themselves would spend some much money and time on that.

These are assumptions. It's not always about "insecure people who don't love themselves"... for example in South Korea, it is much easier for women to get a job based on their physical attraction. Not just South Korea, but everywhere around the world. Being good looking is an advantage in the job market.

Not only jobs, but being beautiful in a lot of cultures makes people treat you differently. As fucked up as it is, this is the world we live in. So for you two to automatically judge people without thinking about some of the reasons, makes you two some judgmental assholes.

But we're in America ( or atleast I think those two are too) , we're not talking about South Korea or any other country. Lol

If you have to resort to calling people assholes then I am assuming you are just as "bad" as them. Not everything has to have cursing involved be a mature adult or teenager or whatever you are & be respectful. Bye

I called them assholes because of how quick they were to judge people who get plastic surgery. And this applies to Americans almost as much as South Koreans, it's not like our society is completely different. Whatever, maybe I shouldn't have called them assholes, I was angry. Have a good day.

it's their money, so they can do what they like. but they really need to give it some serious thought and make sure they research the surgeon to make sure he doesn't mess them up.

Powder your face, put on your wig, the world's been laughing at you ever since you were born. Looks alone will only get you so far; unless you happen to be one of those "privileged rich elites".

The thing is people will never be satisfied with their look, after surgery and after and after.. Till their face get mess up and its even make them look worse than their original natural look. :(

Look at Michael Jackson, he keep getting Facial Surgery and his nose fall off! >.<

What is your opinion on males and females getting transplants? ( for example boobs, butts , cheek surgery, getting ribs taken out for a slimmer waist? )

Transplants save lives. "Implants" is what you were looking for.

If you are unhappy with your body, why try to shame it by filling it with the promise of attraction.

What we think attracts people is simply lust. If we weren't born with such a body, why hide it.

I understand there are those cases where plastic surgery is required, like breast cancer patients, amputees, etc, circumstances that actually allow people to better themselves, but for people to add on to their original body just for looks, so that our eyes can accept such alterations. Why?

Look I understand some people in the world need plastic surgery, because some people are so self concious that it effects them and their lives, if you really want to get plastic surgery to find a positive outlook on your life, go ahead. What I don't accept is the fact people do it to lie to others. For the most part people should love their bodies.

I am a perfectionist, but I wouldn't dare change my looks or body. I'm perfect the way I am, but physically and mentally I am always changing myself to be the best I can be, I do not accept laziness, that is the worst excuse, and i'm sick of it. I deal with laziness myself everyday of my life, but I'm not going to just accept it. Just like I hear people accept being overweight, how can you accept that? You accept to be unhealthy? You accept to just give up on yourself in order to show others it is acceptable to live like that? What does that teach people?

K before I end up on a rantpage. I don't care, but you only fuel your own insecurities when you need to accept your body, accept yourself before the acceptance of others, weak, weakness is shown from this, you only hurt yourself in the process, literally and mentally

I've a simple rule on this: If a person does it for their own reasons, and for themselves, it's fine. The problems come when a person does it to please or meet someone else's expectations. There are exceptions, of course, as some people become obsessed.

I've known a number of people, all women, who've had surgeries. I know a woman who had implants to get to a B cup. She'd been a AA cup before, and she hated how she looked wearing clothing. A lot of women's clothing is designed to take breasts into account, and she felt she looked terrible in too many outfits without a bust. She was much happier and her confidence went up. I've known several other women who've had implants, and they all seemed much happier, except those who did it for a boyfriend or husband.

I know a woman who had extensive work done on her breasts, not to increase their size, but to get back the shape she had before her pregnancies. She wanted to change the fact that instead of having her nipples pointing out, they now pointed down, and her girls were sagging far more than she wanted. She was pleased with the results.

Speaking of pregnancies: Stretch marks can really do a number on a woman's torso. Those women I know who've had procedures to minimize their impact would smack anyone silly who thinks they have body issues for wanting to correct those.

I've seen many a boob job that I find to be ugly, but plastic surgery is up to the individual. There are many positive reasons that people get work done.
