Cancer is in many ways the "default mode" of dying. Our cells can't replicate perfectly, and given enough time we will probably develop a tumor. The fact that more people are dying from cancer conversely means less people are dying from other things.

I have no family history of ..anything really. My entire family tree has always been as healthy as horses. And my own lifestyle is so healthy it makes most of you look like fat and lazy slackers. So Cancer, not bloody likely mate.

I'm interested, what's your diet like? And what kind of exercise do you do?

I personally enjoy running. It's inexpensive, somewhat enjoyable, and very good for the body.

My diet consist mostly of seafood, wild game, and organic vegetables with soy based products making up my calcium requirements since I can't do milk due to a severe lactose intolerance. I also take a multivitamin daily and I am on protein powder and creatine.

As for my exercise regime it consist mostly of your standard running and various forms of weight lifting alongside old standards like push ups and sit ups. I tend to like to get in at least 3 to 4 hours of various exercises per day whenever I can. I also train in various martial arts including HEMA and Jeet Kune Do. I use to do Kenjustu but I now prefer HEMA over it. Either way I don't consider my day done without my daily 10k run.

My grandmother is literally on her death bed now for cancer. Her last days are coming. My uncle also has cancer. My mother also had cancer. Just because you follow a good diet and workout plan. Doesn't keep you 100% from the possibility of getting cancer. There are also environmental issues that can cause anyone to get cancer.
All three of them were on a vitamen supplement vegetarian/vegan diet and worked out in a daily basis.
