It seems like everyone's depressed these days.

So TL;DR:

Just be there for them? Thanks, that's actually really useful to know.

yea! and try to make them laugh or brighten their day up. if they don't seem like they're in the mood then maybe just chill with them and do a bonding activity with them, maybe get them to open up and unload some of their worries on you.

I have a friend who will laugh even when it's hard for him. Thats more depressing in my opinion
People need to let it out and cry sometimes.

We are disconnected with our roots. So much stimuli leaves us empty. I really think every school should implement a meditation class starting from when we are little kids. If we grew up with a meditation class, can you imagine the difference in society and overall happiness. Meditation is key to battling anxiety and depression. I'm surprised we haven't learned this yet.

Depression sucks to deal with, I try my best to whenever I can to do the things I like to do to get my mind off of it. I'm thankful to have friends that are there for me whenever I'm not feeling 100%. I could go on and on about my depression but I don't want to be that person.

Well, We should be considering how lucky we are to live in this day and age due to internet! :p I mean people back in old day as you noticed in black & white pictures never smiled.. Its because there nothing to smiles about.. :p

They do farming all day, have crappy out door house.. Eat Bread that are hard as a rock, lousy soup, of course the husband will say its good to his wife.. :p

The House is all dusty, and they have to depend on themself just in case Wolf or Fox eating one of their sheep/Chickens, or Outlaw show up wanting to steal whatever they got which not much.. Outlaw probably want to steal their daughter due to her beauty! :p

Yes, Yes that Outlaw could be PV himself!

I dont think everyone seems depressed but everyone seems to be in a struggle, in one form or another. And i think alot of people want more than what they have or are just not overly happy with what they have got.
Most people seem to be in some sort of financial struggle or have some form of relationship troubles or addictions, debts, a shitty job they're unhappy with, health problems or just dont really know what they want in life perhaps?

At my ages now, (35) life at times seems depressing because its at a point of life where you are no longer young but not really yet old, or middle aged even and life can seem kind of depressing or challanging, meaningless, boring, a constant struggle.
Life is not all bad, not by a long shot but sometimes you realise that all life is working and paying bills and taxes until you die/modern day slavery.
I guess it seems the only meaning or point to life is to find love, have a kids and pay off a house. But that's not for everyone and many i believe do it out of obligation or expectation or social stature?
Plus life goes fast and it's sometimes to not miss the good times when you were younger and more free and life was so much more fun.
I can see why some people turn to religion, for some sort of belonging and meaning and purpose in life i guess?
Even if it is false hope.

But really i dont think most people are depressed , just in the struggle.
I've always thought there's enough good and fun things in life to make it good but i do experience some depression. And alot of people that i know do also. But i think everyone gets depressed sometimes.
Sometimes just hearing my alarm go off in the moring is enough to depress me. Got to be resiliant!..

Sometimes I don't know if Ryulightorb is kidding or not, but my patience only extends so much, considering my own personal issues with teenage angst and suicidal threats.
