Hey Hey mate. I just watched your video on Ultimate Otaku Teacher not bad.

I just want to warn you to be careful with putting your score first. If people see your score, they may not even bother with the rest of the video. I'd even suggest not worrying about a score, since people tend to just skip the entirety of the video just to see the score. I know I have been guilty of this.

You seem a bit nervous which is understandable. Now while I haven't made YouTube videos, I took a Public Speaking Class online. I had to record myself via video (did have an audience.....thank you mom) and post it to.... I think the school's site. I would just rush through the speech and was nervous as can be. So I understand how it feels. From what I learned in Public Speaking I can see the same mistakes made here. You look down at your papers/note cards a lot and don't keep your eyes on the audience. You should keep your eyes on the camera (You don't have to do it all the time as I notice a lot of reviewers look away for split seconds). This may mean you have to memorize the script or find little tricks to fool the audience. A thing you could do is if you are talking about...say animation and need to refer to notes, transition to a rather relevant clip of the series in question. You also seem to cough and say um through out the video. To get rid of that I suggest the free audio editing tool audacity. That should help you clear up all the ums and etc.

Be very careful with how long the clips last as Copyright is a pain to deal with. I watch a lot of reviewers on YouTube and they talk about how tedious it is to get a strike removed. Like in your first review with the rather long clip of Angel Beats. You should be able to fight your case under the fair use agreement and all, but still a tedious process. Try to make the clips short.

Now this is more personal preference. I've never been one to enjoy when someone stands in front of a green screen, to me it just seems a tad tacky. So I found it a tad tacky. Your first review in your home, to me worked a bit better. I would probably change the scenery some to fit more of ChAnime. If you have anime or anything anime related show it off and have it as your background. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm bashing, but maybe instead helping with different ways to film your reviews. Reviewers like GRArkda have pictures in their background, and i really like how that was done. BobSamurai I still think does his reviews in front of his anime collection shelf.

The biggest problem I see is just that you appear to still be nervous and making simple rookie mistakes. I really want to see more from you. As for your reviews I think you are getting there with them. I would like to see them be more fleshed out. I don't know exactly, but I think you may have described the show more than giving your thoughts on it. I am trying to watch them over again to get a better grasp to help with constructive criticism, so sorry if I'm not too clear right now.

Work on just getting more comfortable my friend and loosen up a bit. Here watch some of GRArkada's videos as sort of reference. I think watching other reviewers will help you along your way. https://youtu.be/kBH2b8bP-zI

I want to see more from you so keep it up. I want to see you grow as I have wanted to see anime reviewers who are Christian review anime. It's something I still want to do and dream about, but I put it off. You have lit the fire back in me for wanting to do reviews.

P.S. Sorry for the rambling, any grammar errors, or not making any sense. I typed this fast. Should have probably been in bed an hour ago (It's 2:12am here), but I really wanted to reply. Keep it up mate. I'll be praying for you and your success. Also if you get a chance check out Haibane Renmei. I will also try to get back to you when I can really watch your videos and help with some constructive criticism. Have a good night and God Bless

First thank you very much for the feedback, second grarkada is the only anime reviewer I really like. In regards to the public speaking I agree, I have done public speaking, and taking class, I was one of the best and I noticed the same issues. I wouldn't say I am nervous, however that isn't really the point either. I was talking fast and reading notes which I will try and improve for the next video.

A small part of it is getting used to the camera only audience. However the bigger part is just balancing prep time with actually getting videos out, something that would be easier without a full time job ;). Either way I will take this all into account, my goal is to produce at or above arkarda's level. Green screens can be made to look good but rarely are, something with my limited camera and space doesn't allow an exception for.

Been a while since I posted a new episode, I felt the quality was not up to the level I wanted from it, largely I just did not find the reviews entertaining. I am working hard to correct this and the third episode, when it releases, will contain some format changes and a longer production cycle should improve the quality dramatically.
