Depends on how we're talking. As a pedestrian, never, though my best friend when I was a kid was and she lost her ability to walk without a walker and to have children. She was only 10 when she was hit and was very lucky to be alive, another friend of mine that was with her at the time was not so lucky.

As a driver of another vehicle.....Yes.. twice and it really really really really hurts. Seriously, not on the top of my list of 'fun times'. I thank god everyday that I was in my car when the people at fault in both accidents hit me, other wise I'd not be alive to answer this question :). The first one I walked away with a few bruises, the second was a bit more serious and I still feel the lingering effects even now 7 years later.

Bottom line, try not to be involved in any accidents....because it really freaking sucks.

I've never been hit by a car while on foot or on a bike, though I have hit a car on a bike once while the car was moving.

I've also been T-boned on the driver-side door. I was driving a 4-door SUV, didn't see the other truck coming as I was making a left turn into traffic, but I FELT it when it broadsided me and spun me around 180 degrees. I was lucky because the point of impact was the piece of the SUV's frame between the front and rear doors. The resulting impact fucked up the SUV beyond all repair, but I only got minor shock and a crick in my neck the next morning. Had it been a foot forward I would have been toast. Or more accurately, a pancake.

I've also been in several wrecks on a motorcycle. Most of them involved banking too hard on loose gravel and wiping out, though I did rear-end an SUV once that sent me flying onto the sidewalk. And then there have been the several times I've wrecked badly on a traditional bicycle and walked away. My poor guardian angel is probably still buried in PDI* reports and related paperwork.

*Post-Divine Intervention reports, required filing by all case workers in the Mortal Relations department of Heaven Administration Division, Earth Sphere (HADES) after an intervention by agents on behalf of their assigned case subject, which document the scenario the subject was protected from, the level of mortal peril subject would have been subjected to without intervention, the nature of the intervention including all PAQST (Probability Adjustment via Quantum State Transmutation) actions taken by field agents, justification for said intervention based on the subject's projected contribution to humanity and the Corporate Mission as set forth by The CEO, and pre-authorization for the next intervention based on the likelihood of necessity and the above justification analysis. All of which must be submitted in triplicate and approved by three individuals of Guardian class-clearance or higher, one of which must have Justice-class clearance. It is quite a lot of paperwork and frankly speaking, a pain in the ass. I'd tell you not to tell The CEO I said that, but He probably already knows. ~Haniel, HADES Mortal Relations Division, Individual Case Worker. Security Clearance: Guardian-3

I've closed that now since it's been a while since anyone has posted there. In the future please make a report to moderators. It's only by chance that I saw this and therefore could take action to avoid having both threads active (such as if someone did start posting in that other thread once you pointed it out.)
