If Britain is leaving Europe does that mean they want to come to North America?

No, they are just tired of the same ol' breakfast EU items, so they have decided to go back to eating Cheerios!

They probably would like IHOP. There they could get a Union 'Flap' jack, with strawberries and whipped cream!

I don't think Saber, A.K.A. a female version of King Arthur, from Fate/Stay Night would like this news.... And yes, I've been reading some on the other forum about what's going on.

Speaking of Brexit and anime, I wonder how this will affect licensing. Will new licensed products dry up for Britain with the EU departure? I guess it depends on the exit terms negotiated.

People make such big deal out of brexit....Britain will still be part of european commerce communtiy. They will still exchange goods and money with rest of us living in Europe and beyond. What this means only that they don't want to be part of organisation, that forces certain things on the countries and puts them in a pickle on how to justify such actions to it's own citizens.EU will never be an federal state like USA due to strong nationality of individual countries. And in the end, rest of world be damned, countries job is to take care of its own citizens.

Well, seeing as how Britain just decided to be a distinctly smaller market, I'd assume both Crunchyroll and Funimation will have a far harder time negotiating deals. Britain has a total pop of 65 mil or something lIke that. That's a tiny market in independent terms.

Canada is tiny too but it has strong and compatible trade ties with the US, a huge market, so we get similar content. What happens with license deals with Crunchy and Funi when they are negotiating purely for British rights rather than EU. The market might be too small for all but the most popular titles to bother.
