I think you make the most sense, even though I disagree with you on a variety of issues.

If you ever come to the USA for a while and debate politics you will learn that situation happens all the time XD

Rap is what you get when you encourage racism and cultural separation.

This is what you get when various different people get together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT3kCVFFLNg

The birth of rock and roll plus all the derivatives from it Chuck berry's guitar playing was the birth of modern guitar playing.

I live in the US! I just....don't get out. Though it did spring to mind that a variety of groups like Earth, Wind and Fire are influential because people took notes.

I thought you were a southeast Asian? The whole guitar solo was a chuck berry thing that really caught on and defined rock and roll plus metal.

Wut?

Rap and Hip Hop sprang largely from poor black neighborhoods, and does tend to touch on those topics, but is hardly encouraging racism or cultural separation.

Thank you, Rap is obviously not promoting cultural separation or racism if you see Mexicans, Japanese, British, and any other race or nationality trying to do it and if anything that's just a testament to how it spread. And if it was promoting those things we wouldn't see Dr. Dre working with Eminem.

Those who scream cultural appropriation are actually saying they want to segregate. That is something that never ends well, despite the intentions. How easy people forget.

Segregation and Racism, both reinforce someone with poor people skills, not a leader but an ideologue.

After reading some of these answers, I think I will just stick to watching anime on here and not socialize. A lot of these answers disappointed me. If people cant see the problem then there is nothing I can say to truly open your eyes.

I thought Jesse William's speech was fine.

I"m not a Timberlake fan...really, last good thing dude made was ten years ago...but I'm not sure what the big deal is. I think the guy just said he was inspired by the speech...or since he's white, is that in bad taste so fuck him?

This is why I hate cultural appropriation. The world encourages you to be openminded and diversify your world but the minute you do, someone screams 'CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!! RACIST!!!TERRORIST!!"

You do what you do and you still get damned.

Drake and Obama grew up in white households and yet they act like they grew up in black ones. If they are allowed to fake it I don't have a problem with white people doing it either. I see it as the same thing.

THANK YOU.

Telling people they shouldn't do / say certain things because it's appropriating your culture is like telling them not to appreciate them. I'd argue that everything the modern pc movement is vying for is undoing the civil rights our predecessors fought for in the last century. But I guess that much is obvious.

Im gonna be honest, I know that the black people who complain mostly about Cultural Appropriation are those same Back to Africa types that go on all day about how* Egyptians were black and blacks were kings. Which isnt completely untrue, but most of the pharaohs werent even nubian. Which by their logic they are also culture vultures and need to stop appropriating Egyptian history
