I updated flash today and now whenever I try to watch videos in firefox the browser just freezes and I have to go into task manager to close it. Everything works fine in Chrome.

Hi ya. I'm using Firexfox (latest build) and Flash version 22.0 r0. Can you post a link to an episode that is freezing up on you (non-Premium since I'm not a paying member)? I'd like to try it and see if my Firefox also freezes. Thanks.

I hope this link works. Any page with the video player completely locks my browser now so I have to turn off all scripts via noscript in order to have the page function long enough for me to CTRL+V the URL.

Hmm... well, that episode plays fine for me using Firefox with the latest Flash update:

I've checked a few other episodes, and I'm not running into any freezing problems with Firefox as a non-Premium member. Sorry about that.

I'm running my Firefox pretty bare with only an Ad-Blocker (which is turned off for Crunchyroll). I thought maybe it could have been a conflict with one of your extensions/Adons, but it sounds like it was running fine until the Flash update. Since you're a Premium member, I think your best bet is to file report with CR Support: http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact.

I'm not sure what you have for extensions/Addons, but you could trying disabling them and then try streaming to see if there's a conflict somewhere between one of them and Flash. Or turn one off at a time.

Either way, good luck. Sorry couldn't help much. Cheers. :-)

I tried starting Firefox in safe mode (no addons) and I couldn't even load Crunchyroll's home page.

If you see the same issue with Internet Explorer/Edge, the issue is with Flash, and if it plays fine in IE, then the issue is with Fx. Are you using the latest stable build, or a test/development build?

I am using Firefox version 47 and the version of Flash that I got from Adobe's site yesterday, 22 I think. I've tried reinstalling and nothing changed. I don't think I have IE on this computer, definitely don't have Edge.

If you are running Windows, you have either IE or Edge. (Even Windows 10 has IE for legacy uses, they just hide it away). Are you on a Mac or running Linux, by chance?

That said, neither would likely be revealing in this case. The versions of IE that require Flash as a plug-in don't use the same one as Firefox, and the version of IE in Windows 8 & 8.1 included Flash (in the same manner that Chrome and Edge do).
