Hetalia. Today, I find that both people think they are the only ones to have seen it, and that there apparently is no discussion about it. This is absurd! Absurdity of the highest order!

Hetalia is great, yes.
The movie... was not so great, but it was fairly typical of the thing.
You want a romantic pairing? America and Britain. Brothers. Lovers. Sealand's illegitimate brotherfathers. Ignoring Canada, but not Canada's bear.

Yes.

Prussia x Prussia? Hmm. I made sure, but there's only one Prussia, so that's... Well. Prussia likes his own company anyway. And, of course, Germany's company.

Have you ever heard of Nyotalia? It's literally genderbent versions of the nations. When I say PrussiaxPrussia, I mean Prussia and his female self.

I had not heard of Nyotalia, no.

I see it's fandom stuff. I should have expected it.

I could not have expected what actually turned up in an image search of that, and that requires some thinking.

Hetaoni is more fandom. Nyotalia is created by the creator.

Hetaoni is like fandom made game where the nations enters a haunted house.

Nyotalia is a side project of Hetalia's creator. That makes sense, since the less... weird... images I saw matched the way Hetalia is drawn.

Heta Oni. Not a game I'd ever play, being horror, but it is somewhat unfortunate that it got washed up in 2011, according to TV Tropes.

I thought "Hetalia" was spelled "Hentailia" and that's why I watched it. The fanart fooled me though.

I never played Hetaoni but I watched a video of someone playing it.

I love that series. From America's silly haughtiness, to Liechtenstein's adorable sweetness, to Ukraine's crybaby sometimes turned war maiden schtick, to Belarus's obsession with Russia, to France's narcissism and foppishness, I can't think of all that much about the series I don't get a laugh out of.

But yeah, that movie was weird. Except for the running gag about Liechtenstein and Switzerland. That was funny.

China building Chinatowns everywhere was a good gag, I think. The commentary about the various national quirks involving movies and 'horror' were also pretty interesting.
