Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. - that does apply to many alleged believers in the US.

Though I also know many Christians who are rejecting Trump because of his character and behavior.

Not everything is black and white people.

Tips fedora.

Most of the Christian folks I know realise that Clinton would be far worse.

Her party literally refused to add that they we are a nation under God during the previous Democratic National Convention, three times in a row.

Trump is so bad, I don't get why so many people think he is the guy to vote for.

I'm upset at republican voters. They had multiple candidates to choose from that were better; sane choices, and yet they choose this goofy oompa loompa looking mofo.

Then again, I'm not surprised, because Trump spouted all these toxic, extreme ideas that the republican party has holstered itself up on (though they were subtler about it), and along comes Trump, proclaiming it all loud and clear, no subtlety, and millions of Americans loved it and ate it up. The GOP created this monster.

Are you honestly implying that only staunch, vocal Christians should be allowed to run for presidency? Or is that stance only supposed to apply to Trump? Probably the latter. There are plenty of reasons to oppose our shitty politicians, but the particular argument put forth by the OP is among the most unreasonable.

No. I am asking that if the US is a Christian nation, as is often proclaimed, why would it even consider electing someone who seemingly embodies everything anti-Christian?

Nothing I read in those three articles you linked seemed logical at all. zero. In fact, those articles are so transparently full of their own illogical bigotry and bias that I couldn't read more than a third of any of them.

the first one.

Trump’s call Monday to bar all Muslims from entering the U.S. is perhaps the biggest act of religious bigotry in modern presidential politics. Such a proposal is a total affront to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Show me where it says that in the Bible, please. Oh wait, you can't, because it doesn't. All I see is people taking an idea (send all muslims back to their land), and trying to turn it into something monstrous, and inhuman, as if he was Hitler ordering the death of 4+ million Jews.

And here's where I coughed up my drink laughing and couldn't read any further.

Christians must work against Trump and ensure Muslims are welcomed in the U.S., because as Pope Francis recently reminded us, they are our brothers and sisters.

Uh....When did being a Catholic Pope suddenly mean you're Christian as well?

<-><-><-><->

The second Link.

Trump is promising many things that he cannot possibly deliver, but the most frightening part is Trump's stated willingness to ignore the authority of the Supreme Court, Congress and the U.S. Constitution if he were to become president.

.....What has Obama been doing ever since he was elected eight years ago? Oh right, he most certainly wasn't ignoring all the rules, and dancing the cha-cha all over the authority of the SC, Congress, and our Constitution. Right.

<-><-><-><->

My thoughts are simple. Is Trump bad? Yeah. I don't think he's a good guy, I don't really want him for president. But hey, given a choice between him and Hillary Clinton, I'd choose Trump. Our presidential elections for the past 50 years have pretty much been run by the mantra "Vote for the lesser of two evils". And Hillary's "bad-guy-resume" blows Trump's out of the water.
