Why would i ditch studying to do something that my body cannot handle and that will leave me worse off?

Hahahahahah HAHAHAHAHAhahahhHAHAHahaha bullshit.

It's not bullshit i have Aspergers Syndrome it is common for us to have low muscle tone i also suffer from low testosterone (hypogonadism).

If you want i can prove that i take testosterone for those reasons i have the pills in the cupboard perscribed by my GP. :)

I take 12 pills a day for my body to cope and function.

I used to restock boxes in the back of a store but i couldn't lift the 2 litre tea bottles and other things without doing damage to my back so the place i was working at decided for workplace health and safety that i shouldn't do manual labor there.

I also have gone to centrelink and have been labeled unfit for work by a specialist there so no...not bullshit in the least once again you jump to conclusions and think everything is false...shows how blind and small minded you are :p

Ditching Studying for work that won't lead anywhere is the WORST thing that you can do.

Study > Menial work always when possible.

No, it is no common for people with aspergers to have low muscle tone BECAUSE OF aspergers, it's not part of the criteria.

Even after the change to DSM-5 from IV which got rid of it...

So far you keep saying that you are going to school to do something and you need a smartphone for reasons, yet you keep giving reasons why you don't need schooling and how you'll never be able to hold a job in your life.

it's still used in my country and alot of people with Aspergers who i know also have low muscle tone but you can refuse to believe it if you like.
I need my smartphone for emergency contacts (which i would be dead right now if i didn't have a phone on me at all times)

You do need schooling otherwise you will be stuck in a dead end job working 5 till 9 each day and i don't want to go through a job that barely pays for me to live.

I have Aspergers , Depression , Mood swings , OCD and a few other mental disorders.
Have you ever had a mental break and nearly stabbed your own Mother due to stress? i have and it's why i keep myself away from high stress environments such as manual labour (other then the reasons i stated above) and for the sake of others i am deemed unfit for that kind of work by government assessment :P

Give me one good reason to why someone shouldn't study and should just get a shitty job and stick to that eh?

I can work if i get office work or something within my skill range :)

I won't work right now because study is more important then having a job for me at my moment in time if i work a job i will never be able to get the qualifications that i want.

I can't exactly work a 9-5 job and do university full time at the same time now can i?

You keep making remarks that only show you as a troll and based upon what people are telling me about you i'm not wrong and you are just a troll with no brain

Speaking of which, do people think education should not be guaranteed?

Turning this topic in a different direction. I would think some people would say so based on the responses.

Not without having your grades suffer. I know people who do part time (one or two classes?) while working full time. You'll have to spend more years in school and forfeit getting a degree earlier (work menial jobs for longer).

I don't see anything wrong with going to college and becoming an engineer. Go get em!

*sigh*

http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0387760407000897

"Motor impairments in individuals with ASD have been categorized as “associated symptoms”. The objective of this study was to describe the prevalence of motor deficits in ASD. Specifically, using retrospective clinical record review, we report the prevalence of hypotonia, motor apraxia, reduced ankle mobility, history of gross motor delay, and toe-walking, as well as the improvement of these symptoms with age, in a cohort of 154 children with ASD."

Certain disabilities, ASD's being a prime example, are highly correlated; muscle-related disabilities like hypotonia (and others listed) are among them.

Moreover, DSM-V reclassified Asperger's Syndrome as high-functioning autism to the best of my knowledge; even then, the correlation is made about ASD's in general.

Edit: other studies more to the point: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1750946710001698 and http://jcn.sagepub.com/content/early/2008/03/19/0883073807309775.short
