I'm curious how this might affect CR's relationships with companies such as Discotek, Media Blasters, NIS America, etc. that provide library titles to CR. (I would have mentioned Sentai, but that relationship already seemed to be cooling).

Of course, given that Discotek had already released Free!, perhaps there is more cooperation than competition behind the scenes.

Wait. I thought Kabenari BD/DVD is going to be an Amazon exclusive. Will Amazon and CR producing this English dub alongside Sony/Aniplex?

You just named 3 of the 7 titles listed as exceptions to your impression of the shows not being very highly regarded. That's, um, almost half. So a generalization that the series shown aren't highly regarded seems a bit out of place.

Yeah, my reaction exactly. It's unimpressive except for about half of the acquisitions?

Once someone recognizes that their tastes are not universal facts but rather personal preferences, it's bizarre to basically say, "this is not a very impressive lineup, except for one out of eight I really like and one out of four that I concede a lot of other people really like."

Crunchyroll has the viewership and demographics for a wide range of anime, they are well placed to figure out what there is a demand for out of whatever happens to be available for licensing (and we have no way to know what was available for pick up that they choose to pass on).

I wasn't saying anything of that regard whatsoever. You may have misinterpreted what I have said, and I completely apologize for my ignorance. I'm just saying that I haven't heard much praise for some of this stuff, and it may impact sales of those BD/DVDs in particular. I'm not ThatAnimeSnob by any means (although I don't personally mind him too much LOL).

Plus, I'm aware that not everyone hates those said titles, but both sides of the debate in regards to if it's good or not SHOULD be aware that it is their opinion, like I stated mine. I do not want any triggered fanboys coming after me, which is a shame, tbh. When will a harmless opposing opinion not be seen as an attack on something someone else loves. People should able to deal with that stuff.

Did this make any sense whatsoever?

These news are impresive!, but as a non-North American person I'm assuming this won't be available in my region, but I want to believe that sooner or later you may consider the posibility to release your dvd/bd region free with subtitles in all the lenguages you translate the anime streamed here.

Regarding Kabaneri, is there a chance that it'll be available here for streaming outside the countries where Amazon Prime is already out?, that would be nice

Not being a North America I have the same doubt for Kabaneri and other shows. For example, would be possible for Crunchyroll to get home video rights to certain shows so they can be streamed here in Latin America?

That CRTC approval of a Gintama dub now makes sense. So Canadian dub huh? That will either be great or shitty depending on which studio does it.

If Ocean Studios ends up dubbing some anime for Crunchyroll... can the brand be called Sushiroll? :-P

These are awesome news, congratulations Crunchyroll Depending on how much it will cost, maybe I'll finally have a place to buy the Berserk Blu-Ray when it comes out.

As I am a streaming guy, if they could get the rights to stream the English dubs here, I will be happy. I would think CR might want to do that for people that prefer streaming. Sentai and Funi does a similar thing where they have much of their catalogs streaming and the option to buy it online.

Crunchyroll has been getting English dubbed streaming rights for a while. They have Ruroni Kenshin, every Yu-Gi-Oh! series (though not in the US), Sword Art Online, the first Free!, Zatch Bell, and many others.

Ashita no Joe please.

If you could get season 1 on here that would be even better.
