That CRTC approval of a Gintama dub now makes sense. So Canadian dub huh? That will either be great or shitty depending on which studio does it.

wait what?

I don't know how you want me to be anymore clear.

At the start of June the CRTC approved a dub for Gintama as Canadian content, which was confusing as people still thought Sentai had it.

This also means it has a high chance of getting on TV.

well it be nice to see some anime on Canadian tv again.

Is Gate coming to Bluray?

Very likely, but not via Crunchyroll, since Sentai holds the home video license:

Well out of those titles mentioned; there are three out of 8 shows that are "highly regarded" making up for quality, there's Myriad Colors Phantom World (a show with boobs in it that will make a lot of money), and the as of yet unproven Berserk adaptation, so the quality's not bad for a first run as a publisher, with a lot of big names licensed.

Let's just be thankful that there might finally be more competition for dubbing... hopefully this means Funimation will have to step up its game and actually hire more than five guys to voice everybody.

That sounds great and all, but it says nothing about which zones. There are several series I would love to have in my shelf, if only they were to be released in my zone (zone 2, I'm European). Free! is definitely on my wish-list.

This USA and Canada only?

Hopefully we will be seeing region 2 of these releases too. Berserk is gonna be a must have!

What is the likelihood of CR licensing the following shows for home release?

Kiznaiver
Orange
Qualidea Code

As an outside observer, Zone 1/2 DVDs might be harder, since Japan is Zone 2. Region A/B Blu Rays might be more possible, since Japan is in the same Blu Ray region as North America, so adding Region B doesn't add any back-importation risk.

It would be nice if they were Zone 1/2/3/4, Region A/B, but Zone 1, Region A is likeliest, and the most plausible extension would be Zone 1, Region A/B

According to MAL, Aniplex of America licensed Kiznaiver.

Yes to Bungo Stray Dogs and Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-. Back in May Anime Limited (UK distributor) picked these up along with Twin Star Exorcist in addition to a Crunchyroll partnership. It is believed that the distributor got these three from Crunchyroll and since Twin Star Exorcist is now confirmed for a CR Dub + Blu-ray, it's safe to assume they'll have Bungo & Re:Zero also.

As for Kiznaiver Aniplex of America picked that up just recently.

---

Given some shows haven't seen a physical release or license from other companies yet I'm going to guess Crunchyroll may also have these lot:
- Ace of the Diamond
- Actually, I am..
- Akagi
- Hundred
- Joker Game
- Kaiji
- Kantai Collection
- Konosuba
- Miss Monochrome the Animation
- Please tell me! Galko-chan
- Seitokai Yakuindomo
- Squid Girl
- The Testament of Sister New Devil
- Unlimited Fafnir
- Witch Craft Works
- World Trigger

A dub of Gintama is most welcome

I am also pleased about the rest.
