It could be, of course but:

1. Japanese parents don't make other ppl carry their babies (because of the "we don't want to bother anyone" philosophy, and other yada yada :3) But you got a point there, mhm.

2:

Now that was a spoiler :p

Haven't read the manga and wasn't planning on watching this until I decided to today, but it looks like a keeper.

I haven't read the manga or light novel, but this series seems like it will be too much for blubbery cry babies like me.

Wee-oo, wee-oo. Ambulance here.

The real question is how did she get the letter to go back in time? Minor detail, I imagine. I'm not entirely sure if you would call it unfair, but that is a TON of pressure her future self is putting on her past (present to us) self. It's one of those double edged swords in the sense that things could potentially turn out worse.

I do like the concept and the little we've seen of all the characters, but I have a feeling that home life isn't exactly "perfect" for Kakeru.

I liked the first episode, hoping it will have a strong story that results in me being depressed and in tears. The ending song and images just seemed to fit really well

Does anyone else feel like the character designs are off from the manga? Watching the episode, I just couldn't help feeling like there was something really wrong with the character animation. Especially Suwa. He looks really different and it's bothering me. Naho's face too. There's something off about it. And Kakeru's smile isn't nearly as brilliant as it was in the manga.

So happy because one of my all-time favorite series got animated! I loved the live action, too!

Ep 1

Very promising episode, and as a manga reader I'm excited to see things unfold. I agree that the designs were a little different than in the manga, and Suwa in particular. I'm not too upset about it though, seeing as he is meant to be athletic and definitely appears so. It did throw me for a loop at first, and will take some getting used to. Voice acting and animation were on point though. Naho and Kakeru have a great dynamic, but it seems like there is more to Kakeru than meets the eye...

Orange is my all time favorite "feels" manga (next to Koe no Kitachi). Tbh when I saw the first episode, I don't know why, but I started crying when I saw Kakeru Nanase ;-;

I read the manga and have been anticipating this every since it was announced.... and the first ep was practically picture perfect. Buckling myself in for a ride on the feels coaster.

To the folks worried about the time travel mechanism...

Not technically a spoiler, but bagged and tagged anyhow.
