And now the quest continues for Arslan to take back the throne from his cousin.

Episode 1

The season begins with a battle at Peshawar Fortress against Turan, and they just are no match for the Parsian army with Narsus doing the battle planning. Meanwhile, Hilmes is out to take a legendary sword for himself, and Gieve is there to stop that from happening. But through everything an army sent by Bodin ends up with the sword. Androgoras fights back to seize the throne, and Etoile is back at the royal capital. And as it turns out, Arslan isn't exactly Androgoras's son, but someone he stole from Tamahenay. Lots of things are going on here, but nevertheless it's a solid way to pick up where things left off in building towards the climax in the eight episodes this season.

Episode 1

Wonderful episode. We got to see all the main characters return to their roles, Silver Mask fighting against Gieve but also making an interesting discovery himself, Temple Knights' involvement, the war and some of the more prominent characters in their roles. More importantly, Arslan has taken the role of a well-established leader now among its people.

Etoile is back too! What a way to start off this season tbh, very impressed. New theme songs are decent too.

Lol, the ED art..

Can't believe it's been under a year ago since Season 1 aired; it feels a lot longer than that, given how much I've forgotten .
There was also some renaming of characters like Hilmes, which didn't help...

It was a busy episode that was action packed, and some surprises as well, such has what Gieve has been tasked to seek and juggernaut Andragoras!
Had a glance back at the season 1 thread and I was shipping Estelle and Arslan at the end, and it has not changed in this episode.
Bastard fanatic Bodin is still here though -_-;

Really glad this show is back so nice to watch on a Sunday morning with my coffee. A lot of things are set in motion was happy to see Gieve he didn't get a proper send off last season and he is one of my favorite because he actually has a personality. I find myself wanting more story after first episode and the king kicking some ass by himself

Great way to start the season. It was nice to see Gieve and Hermes (Hilmes?) fight. Lusitania is pushed into a corner now that Arslan is gaining strength and Andragoras is holding Guiscard hostage.

It's too bad this season is only 8 episodes.

I'm still a little bit skeptical about this being only 8 episodes long, it's really hard to believe that they're going to finish the entire story in just that. But ignoring that, this was a perfect introduction to the new season, and I loved every second of the fight between Gieve and Hilmes, and the fact that Andragoras broke free is a very interesting plot line.

Really looking forward to seeing the rest of the season, and even though it will end really quickly, at least when Arslan ends The Seven Deadly Sins will take over so the hype is only getting stronger.

I don't think they're going to try to finish the story. From what I've heard, the novels are quite long. I think they're going to adapt only one arc and then have more seasons in the future.

It's funny when you realize that The Seven Deadly Sins always ended with a commercial for Arslan and then Arslan eventually took its place when the season ended.

That's quite a fun fact that I just realized haha But I sure hope that Arslan continues after this in the case that the story isn't finished, but seeing how the novels are popular enough to have a manga and an anime two decades after the original OVA's, I'm sure it will continue. The Seven Deadly Sins are most likely to get a second season, it's pretty obvious from the title of this new mini-series: "Signs of a Holy War", I really hope that's the case.

Ep 1

Man, I got chills seeing Arslan at the head of the Parsian forces at the beginning of the episode. So good to have the show back, even if for a short while. The action between Gieve and Hilmes was well done, but I'm just excited to see Gieve again considering his absence at the end of the first season. Etoile/Estelle and Arslan are getting along pretty well.

Andragoras is smarter than he looks, huh? It sounds like he's been pouring soup on his chains to rust them in preparation for his escape. What a badass! The number of contenders for the Parsian throne continue to increase.

Welcome back, Gieve!

A bit of cute interaction between my ships~ I know most people ship Arslan/Etoile or Arslan/Daryun... I ship Arslan/Elam and Daryun/Narsus, so it was nice to see them talk to each other.

Arslan is still the most moe fluffle ever. He looks a bit older, but still wonderfully moe. I'm so glad.

The ost and other sounds were way too loud this episode (episode 2). Either that or the seiyuus were too quiet. It's not just me that thought this, right?

Episode 2

Good episode, loved the way that Narsus used his strategy in such a clever way. GG Turans.

Also glad to see Gieve return to Arslan's side. He's very much needed tbh no matter where he is. The ending sort of worries me a bit about Arslan's task though ...as it's considered an act of exile.
