Episode 2

Welcome back to the party, Gieve. That was quite a nasty tactic by Narsus to have the Turan army fighting amongst themselves with that petty trick of his. But now, Andragoras has arrived and there's something about him that's bad news for Arslan and company. There's something about him that just doesn't add up here. Nevertheless, he is ordered to round up men, which is essentially exile, and there's something not quite right about this.

Episode 2:
Is it me or was the mixing just horrible between the dialog and music? Seemed like 3/4ths of the time the dialog track was practically muted while the music was boosted and not just for effect during the battles but overall.

The King is quite the badass I am forced to say quite the contrast to his prince son. being forced to round up men is another way to say Son you have been kicked to the curb! get out of my seat.

Episode 2

That CG, audio, and king!

If there is one thing I don't miss about this series, it's the CG. It never did look right to me. Also, did anyone notice the audio issues? The music was too loud and I could barely hear the characters talking.

Despite the issues, looks like king is back and he is as ruthless as ever. I never did like him, even when he was introduced. With Arslan basically being sent into exile, I wonder how things will fair..

I liked the first season and watched it regularly if not always full-heartedly. But this season has seriously grabbed me. Action, drama, intensity, and wow I was wondering what would happen with the king returning, and was not expecting that.

There definitely appears to be a mixing issue. This wouldn't be the first time for Funi, as there was an episode of Seraph of the End that had no character voices when it was first uploaded.

And as such, I'm holding off on watching the episode for now to see if they fix it. It was just too distracting for me.

I heard that the audio in the episode was normal at first and that it was Funimation that messed it up when they uploaded it.

The episode starts with Andragoras being a badass and ends with him being an asshole. After everything Arslan has done to shift the war back into the right direction, you'd think the guy would show at least a little gratitude...

This is where the old OVA series ended, right? I haven't read the manga or the novels, but I watched that, so I'm interested to see where this goes from here (and that gorgeous Takahiro Sakurai character whose description reminds me so much of his character in K...)

Also Gieve sparkled at Arslan, yes. Yes. I ship it. (...I ship both Elam/Arslan and Gieve/Arslan. Not Daryun/Arslan, because no.)

The Heroic Legend of Arslan 2 (Dust Storm Dance) EP 2 / "The Monarch Versus the Conqueror"

Andragoras escapes Ecbatana .A false plan tricks two units of the Turanians to attavk each other . Arslan takes on the Opposing King and Gieve shows up to save Arslan The opposing King retreats only to be killed by one of his generals! Then Andragoras shows up only to exile Arslan by himself / cliffhangar , Lots of action and now uncertanity!

One drawback with just 8 RPS it feels a little rushed / also why diid did they let Arslan gete exiled so easily / I think they should have revolted IMO

Arslan is brave but not not a complete warrior yet!

Good to see others get praised

Andragoras / I wish Daryun would have killed him / just like the general on the Turanians

I really didnt expect this.

Opening Theme:
"Tsubasa" ( Wings) by Eir Aoi

ED
"blaze" by Kalafina

Ep 2

Andragoras really put Arslan and crew in an awkward position by showing up at Peshawar right after the Parsian forces managed to repel the Turanians. It was cool to see Arslan so resolute when he charged into battle, and even more so when he managed to fight the leader of the Turan forces. He's not as skilled as most of his friends, but he isn't useless in combat either. Gieve is now reunited with Farangis, so I'm fully expecting them to have great scenes like in the first season. That exile though... Andragoras returning makes it apparent that Arslan is better suited for leadership.

Episode 3

And now, things shift to Hilmes as he prepares to regain the throne from his uncle. Just as he sends his love interest Irina to Zabul fortress, his past is explained. He met Irina in a garden after his face was burned, and while he is made blind in one eye, Irina is completely blind. He was a kind person, but he was driven mad when Andragoras seized the throne. Back in the present, not only is Andragoras effectively exiling Arslan, but he won't let his party join him on his mission. So Narsus puts a plan into motion to escape Peshawar with Azrael and all of his loyal followers. Andragoras is quite the cruel guy there ordering everybody around like that, and it seems to me that Hilmes is at the very least the lesser of the two evils after a backstory like that. And now, Arslan's quest to get 50k begins.
