Hello everyone. I am a huge Mech fan since I was a little kid ( Power rangers, Gundam, Transformers) and I have been enjoying a lot of the current new Gundam sires as Iron blood orphans, Origins and Thunderbolt.

The thing I want to ask are there any good current ones and any really solid old ones I should check out?

Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, and Evangelion are the first 3 that come to mind. They're all very different, though. Code Geass is about war. Gurren Lagann is more of a goofy show, and Evangelion is a psychological series.

Also currently airing is Kuromukuro.

Yeah I've seen those top three and only Gurren hit me right. Code and Eva felt like they where trying too hard not matter what version I watch.
Kuromukuro I have never heard of though, may check that out.

I have yet to watch it (though I probably should), but I have HEARD that Gargantia of the Verduous Planet is good. Ummmmm I guess I could point you at Aldnoah Zero? Although I really disliked that series and dropped it but plenty of other people seemed to enjoy it.

As for current ones you have Kuromukuro and Macross(this one is kinda a mix of idol+mecha stuff so singing and mecha fighting). There is also Schwarzesmarken from winter season and the older muv luv anime from the same franchise both really good mechas in my opinion although they are quite cruel. Anyway if ya wanna search for more mecha you should just go to MAL and search by mecha genre and ull have plenty then to pick

They don't have any of these here, but I'm fond of Full Metal Panic, or to go even older school, there's always Escaflowne or GaoGaiGar.

Current stuff, have you tried the new Voltron? It's at least in part by the team who worked on Avatar & Legend of Korra, so a mix of humor and serious elements going on.

I have seen the new Voltron on Netflix and I REALLY damn liked it! I do like it more if cartoons need to uses 3D animation it be used more for cars or Mech.

M3: The Dark Metal
Linebarrels of Iron
Buddy Complex
Valvrave the Liberator
Argevollen
Aldnoah.zero (as Kazzooey pointed out)
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (see note above )
Fafner (Both original and new series)
Expelled from Paradise (Anime movie)
Aquarion (multiple series)
Asura Cryin
Cross Ange
Gunbuster
Orguss
Votoms

Those are just the ones off the top of my head without the words Gundam, Robotech, Macross, Mospeada or Southern Cross in the title .

^ Out of these, I would recommend Aldnoah.Zero, Suisei no Gargantia, Expelled from Paradise, and maybe Valvrave. It was watchable at least. A few others that haven't been mentioned: Eureka Seven, Broken Blade (available here on CR), Escaflowne. There's also Knights of Sidonia on Netflix which I haven't seen yet.

If you liked Gurren Lagann, definitely check out Kill la Kill.

Older titles, more giant robot than mecha: The Big O and Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still (OVA series).

You should check out Star Driver mate.
It's here on Crunchyroll. It may not make complete sense plot-wise but I personally really enjoyed the characters and the action.

I'd like to second:
Gargantia of the Verderous Planet
Eureka Seven

Two of my favorite anime, and I'm not a big mecha fan.

One other one that hasn't been mentioned:
Full Metal Panic! (It's a little slow getting around to the mechas, which are mostly in the second half of Season 1 and in Season 2; but the show is good regardless.)
