Hello everyone. I am a huge Mech fan since I was a little kid ( Power rangers, Gundam, Transformers) and I have been enjoying a lot of the current new Gundam sires as Iron blood orphans, Origins and Thunderbolt.

The thing I want to ask are there any good current ones and any really solid old ones I should check out?

if i were to get into gundam, what would be a good show to start off with since gundam is such a huge series?

Well Gundam wing, G gundam or 00 they are spin offs from the idea but if you really want to get into them I would suggest looking into the original first or the new Origin one tell the story of Char. There is also 0080 that is a small side story or 0083 team that is more about the stander solders of Mobile suite teams. Or if you wanted to jump in Zeta gundam or F91, while there after the first sires they also do stand on there own.

Though I do give you a fair warning this are not magical tales they are war stories so thus you are going to see a lot of dark subjects from time to time and maybe shed a few tears. Really anywhere you just sit down and watch is fine though some technology they talk about and events may confuses you.

well, it has some of my favorite things: war and dark stuff. I doubt I'd cry though. Hasn't happened yet.

There are the series set within the Universal Century (UC) timeline, and everything else which are set in their own universes and it doesn't matter which order you watch them. Iron-Blooded Orphans is pretty good!

The UC series are listed here in both chronological and release order:
