Hmmm.. I'm liking the character designs a lot and the fights are pretty well animated, plus I'm digging the music, but I'm worried it's going to end up going stupid harem. Well, I guess I'm along for the ride at least until that happens.

Not a bad first episode at all, I enjoyed it a lot, but as everybody else said, the comedy feels so forced that it's difficult to laugh at points. Also, I hope that Seigi's friend (I forgot her name, sorry) gets some development or at least that she proves to be useful to the story and the characters because right now she's only there as the obligatory fan service character with big breasts and clearly being in love with Seigi.

I can't give high praises to the animation because Tales of Zestiria the X has officially destroyed each and every one of the anime from this season in that department, but overall it was good enough and the action was intense and entertaining, just like I was hoping. I'll keep watching it without a doubt

I thought it was going to be a bit darker, like "Psycho Pass". So the comedy threw me off a tad. I'm not sure yet, if it gets too campy when it should be serious, I'm out mentally to give it serious thought too, then I'll just switch gears and watch it for the obvious "Service" that it may be aiming for, and I'll go look elsewhere for a more serious Anime.
I don't like to be set up for one emotion, then slapped in the face with another. It's like grinding gears without using a clutch, and that can get grating in the very least.
So will see...Seriousness with some proper interjected comedy has to be less jarring if the Anime is going to have a good audience.
If this is a "Formula" Anime, where they have to have a certain amount of service, then comedy, then seriousness, and it is just grinding out the scenes like a silent movie...then I will feel like my time is being wasted.
Does that make any since, or am I just rambling here...I think I'm trying to search mentally for a label for this, but I don't have enough to go one just yet.

Maybe "Bento Box Anime", where you have your balanced vegetables, with some meat, a campy cut up hot dog and lots of rice with a cat drawn out on top, then a little snack...with you left wanting more....
Yeah, maybe "Bento Box Anime"...

Hopefully we get to see various powers on a regular basis. I am also fine with Izzy (?) turning into a cat every time she drinks .

Of course the MC gets super OP ability, from the looks of it.

More annoying than entertaining; instead of stealing the phone and girl beats crap out of guy stichk, how about just asking the Japanese government to intercede and have a meeting with the kid explaining he is wearing stolen weaponry?

Taboo Tattoo Episode 1

Looks like this season's Bungou Stray Dogs (which I dropped). It's trying to be serious and would easily succeed in that if they drop the forced "comedy". When the action screens kicked in tho they had a great flow, brutal and bloody with very little censorship (hope they keep it at a minimum going forward) the female MC is the only stand out character so far and the OP is decent. It's one I'm going to stick with for the time being at least but I could easily see this being one that I eventually drop, even more so considering its going up against Mob Psycho 100 for my action fix this season. Let's hope it steps up its game. First episode was an average 7/10 from me.

Meh. The fight scenes are about the only thing that makes the series. I'll give it the three episode run.

So far the Summer Season isn't shaping up as I'd hoped.

Overall, I like it so far. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the future episodes, I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to it though. Recommend it!

I don't know what to think.

I like 90% of it. The fun factor is there. But the random kiddy animations are really off-putting. The humor is really clumsy and off.

I tried to watch Orange. I was halfway through, then they had a ton of 1970s Scooby Doo moments, and I turned it off.

Hoping something with meat comes along this season, or I should just take an anime break until the autumn.

Not bad at all / I have read the manga and it's close

The US agents are good but inept at times ( I do like the comedy ) A lot of great Martial Arts movies have humor in them !

Oh I am glad the girls look good as they were great looking in the manga

And the action was just like a PV

IDK if one cour can fit it all in ?

BTW JC STAFF doing a good job / The New Food Wars anime is so good!

JC Staff an overlooked studio ( Been doing this for 30 years ) Many good memeorable shows

Meh, this was pretty hit or miss for me. Some elements I like and others fall flat. Not sure if I will continue or not yet, guess I may give it at least one more episode to grab me.

The tone and feel of this anime is all over the place, if you ask me. I love the action, and find the premise alright. I don't have an issue with the occasional cutesy moment, even though it did feel pretty out of place in with this. I also found the flashbacks, especially during the fight at the end, to be completely unnecessary and forced. What was the purpose of them? To garner sympathy? I'm sorry, but random flashbacks that show nothing of real substance, that break the flow of a fight are more annoying than sympathetic.

There were some eye rolling moments here and there, too, but despite my wariness of the first episode, it was entertaining, nonetheless. I can't deny that this at least looks promising.

I just saw the first episode..

and the first thing I thought... did I just heard Saitama's voice!!! It is ...its Furukawa ...I just saw him last weekend at AnimeExpo

Its not bad... but I agree, Its got a serious vibe but its got abit of comedy too, pretty much a lot going there , all over the place but overall it got me interested....

I am curious how the story develops...
