I really like everything from this show, but Seigi's childhood friend is quickly becoming the useless female who is only there for fan service like Orihime in Bleach and I hate this type of character so much. If she's not going to be useful to the story then I hope they kill her because if she lives and will only get jealous of Izzy and do nothing except trying to win Seigi then I'll drop this. And judging that scene with Izzy at the beginning, she's clearly there just for having a pair of big breasts in the show and nothing else.

Mob Psycho 100 will still have more priority to me on Mondays than Taboo Tatoo, but if this gets rid of the problem I mentioned earlier and manages to stay as good as it is or even improve a little bit, then I'll still watch this without a doubt.

I like this post very much. ^_^
Yeah, the "overbearing childhood friend with a secret crush who gets jealous too easy" is just the shittiest character trait. She's even worse in the manga, as I recall..... I'm trying to like this show in spite of it's genericness, but man that girl...... she just ruins things.

Jesus if she's even worse in the manga then I'm glad I'm an anime only fan, and I say fan because even though it is a bit generic, I'm enjoying this a lot actually, it's not nearly as bad as any generic light novel, and the characters besides that girl are likeable. The only thing that I don't understand is that the manga is classified as seinen, but this isn't nearly as violent or mature as Berserk, Parasyte or Gantz. From what I've seen this is a normal shonen, it has many of the clichés that most seinen don't use. But this is only getting started, I hope that in later episodes they actually show us why this is a seinen series.

Shonen, seinen, etc are generally target demographics for entire publications. This therefore doesn't change from series to series despite tone and what we'd probably call "maturity" level being all over the place.

While there are common trends this is not an absolute rule. So Claymore is shonen (of Jump no less) and Berserk is seinen despite the two being not all that far apart from each other.

IDK why, but I got a classic Gainax meets Fate Stay Night and Danganronpa vibe from this in the animation department. The pacing is good, the writing is great and its got a "Rock and Roll" look from it that really sets the show apart from JC Staff's other shows this season. I'm hooked.

PS, following a ton of big shows between Funimation and Crunchyroll is interesting to say the least

Well...

I can say I am annoyed at the boob massaging scene...those comedic parts are really forced in this one and the best friend is becoming a useless character

and the rest was ok

I woulld like to add BTW got shows all over !

But I get the comedy feel from One Punch Man but the Martial Arts / Ecchi that's like Ikki Tousen ! Bloody violent and great lokking girls!

People complain about some fanservice / I did avoid Hybird Heart / this is like how anime really started out Like Agent Aika series or Burn UP

Is that Izzy's real name? Wow..... definitely going to stick with Izzy for her.

RIP Tom.... he seemed like a cool guy. Hopefully he wasn't killed and they're just playing it up.

Episode 3

It turns out that Touko was possessed by the tattoo user Il, who can possess others to fight. Seigi unleashes his void power and creates quite a mess at the house, and seeing that his tattoo was a failed one that he has to not use the tattoo so recklessly. Then he goes on a training routine to get stronger. That was a solid way to introduce the new characters there with Il, Lurker, and Lisa now entering the scene, all while Touko is now caught up in the war of tattoos. Il sure does have a soft side in spite of everything, and it will be interesting to see how things go from here as Il and Lisa are about to fight.

Ep. 3

This series has been catching a lot of grief from other places I have read online and a lot of mediocre ratings, but I say screw that. I am having a ton of fun with this show.

That void ability devouring 2/3rds of the house was kinda crazy.

Touko is part of the tattoo party now, and I am fine with this. I hope they continue to develop her a bit more.

Izzy and Lisa's shopping trip was a cute little breather and bit of comedy at the end.

Even if she is a "bad guy" I really like the little blonde girl. She clearly has a good heart, but is severely misguided.
