It really shouldn't matter. Just so you know, the last 44 presidents were all Christian (read: all of them). Some were good and some were bad (Let's not discuss here). So people should know better that Christianity means little in politics.

Not really I would vote for someone based on their platforms not their religion.

No.
I tend to assume when a candidate is talking about their faith, they are giving lip service for votes.
Worse case scenario, they are religious and don't follow the instruction manual.

While their religion can say a lot about a person I think that there are other things that are more important. Partly because everyone is religous in their own way and that it might not afect their politics very much.

Altho I have no say in this since I'm European, no it does not matter.

While I'm non too enthused about the "leader of the nation" believing in the great spaghetti in the sky, seeing as how that is the norm for the president I'll say no.

Personal integrity matters to me. I'll vote for a non-Christian and have before if I feel they line up with what I am looking for in a candidate (views on the issues, experience, etc) and have personal integrity.

im Canadian so technically don't have any real say in the issue other then just saying what i feel on the issue. i would say wouldn't matter to much if leader of my country is religious or not as long as they do their job and fall into the moderate category if its a more fundamentalist/extremest then i would be against it. though in truth i would prefer a leader that doesn't associate with any religion less likely to let a religion influence how they lead though i will it admit even without a religion some people are just shitty.

Why would I care about the religious persuasion of the President, or anyone else.

Freedom of religion was written into the Constitution by our founding fathers. It is a right I am not willing to give up just because someone else's beliefs differ from my own.
