So, just wondering, but is anybody else having problems with the "Report" button for comments? Comment below or just answer the poll.

There's a known issue with reporting some of the comments -- I think if it's a top level comment you'll get the error (or maybe it's when you report a nested comment; I don't recall precisely.)

If the comment is really bad then I'd suggest going to the user's profile page and reporting the user; in your reason mention the comment. If you can copy and paste part of the comment that would be good, or give an idea of when the comment was made/what show it was on, so we can track it down, that's also helpful.

They're usually just spoilers that I try to report, because even though it's common knowledge not to look at the comments prior to the video on the internetz, it's still something that deserves to be there.

Are you saying your reporting comments as spoilers if they refer to content in the same video they are attached to?

As silly as it seems, it is actually our policy to mark spoilers related to the same video a comment is attached to as spoilers. Content related to other sources and future episodes shouldn't be in the episode comments at all.

We get lots of reports about it, and apparently a number of people like to skim the comments for various reasons, or can't avoid the top. comment on the page when first viewing the video, so that's how we handle it (though personally I think it's absurd--Don't like spoilers? Then don't read the comments before watching the episode.

So due to that, we can either skip a lot of comments or end up clicking "show spoiler" many, many times? Yes, I agree that is absurd.

It sounds like CR needs a "Show comments" button like some sites have, as that would avoid any accidental exposure.

Well, other than that, there are even worse comments involving spoilers from the manga (yet unread by free users or even some Premium users, as I do prefer to watch the anime rather than read) that wouldn't of been released to the anime till the next season or later. Those, in particular, are the worst of them all, and I remember seeing at least 3 of them on last episode of 'Attack on Titan' that I tried to report and it wouldn't go through.

Like, this bug has been happening for a while now, and it never goes through. Even if I put something as simple as "spoiler" for the reason for reporting, it gives me an "Unknown Response" error.

But just to clear it up, I'm also marking comments that are spoilers for the episode that are NOT marked as Spoilers; thus, not hidden.
