I'll buck the catgirl trend and say longer-lived pets. I'd be quite happy not to lose another dog or cat till I'm old enough to kick the bucket myself.

Certainly I would love to see cat girls becoming a reality through genetic engineering. Take together two cute things and the result would be something that's quite the darling there. Not to mention, those girls will have cat-like senses with better eye sight and hearing. Certainly would be amazing, but that kind of stuff only exists in anime. Just think of the possibilities.

Cat girls - every dollar not spent to forward the purpose of making cat girls a reality is a travesty.

But on a serious note...seriously...cat girls, and the elimination of genetic bourne disease are the two top things for me.

Well aside from the oblivious cat people or dog people.

I'd like to see the ability to have regeneration ability's to restore lost limbs, teeth, eyes, blindness and of course the paralyzed being able to walk again.

Considering some animals are able to do it (Some species of Fish, lizards, and a few others) I don't see it as a complete impossibility that humans might find a way to do it. We just need to find the right "command" in our DNA to force a true bio gender change.

Technically you just need to make a new body seeing as its believed the brain is neither male or female the body forms due to dna however if you were to change the body you would still technically be the other sex even if your base dna which triggered the production of a male or female body in the womb is different.

That may be wrong but that's my rough understanding of it as far as dna is concerned its only mostly important in the development stages.

Biological Immortality

Cheap, renewable energy.

Endless supplies of disease resistant crops capable of growing in salt water and a wide range of environmental conditions.

Cheap renewable immortality ftw. Me and death don't get along well so I would also like this one. Death's just a jerk plus he cheats at bowling.

Sorry for the triple posts people but I just saw this answer and I've had a lot of pets over the years not to mention I just lost my old black lab to cancer so this one has been on my mind a lot lately. I've come to the conclusion that pets don't live as long as we do for the simple fact that if they did have longer life spans then there would be a lot of pets out there without their owners. Think about it. How many cats and dogs have had their owners die and then have no one to take care of them and love them. If they're lucky a relative or neighbor will take them in but it's never quite the same for them. If they're not lucky it's off to a shelter and if they're unlucky then we all know the outcome of that one. So I think the reason they don't live as long as we do is because many of them would just outlive us and would then be without their loved one's and possibly have no one to take care of them. A lot of them already do outlive us. They're lives are like a shooting star, brief, beautiful and intensely bright. They're are so bright that they light up our lives as well as our hearts. They're not here for as long as we are so we have to love and appreciate them every moment that they are here.

Trust me, catgirls would not want cat eyesight. Human eyesight is far better than cat eyesight as cat eyes can't read or differentiate color as well as human eyes.
