Just saw the second epsiode and I am really enjoying this show. It is actually taking its time in developing which is good but its making me impatient .

Anyway , I found a Japanese Waseda university all men cheering squad called Shockers in youtube, I believe they were the first all men cheering club in Japan and probably the writer Ryo Asai source or inspiration of the novel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqvJZyu4ImI

Its has a similar uniform to our boys with W inverted to Meishin M

I actually rewatch the 2 episodes a couple times and I really like the writting although it doesnt have a very strong impression as Haikyuu , Ace of Diamond and Kuroko or Yowamushi pedal with their episode 1 , the story and character developement is really good .

I really want to show this in the meet-up group like I did with Haikyuu, Yowamushi Pedal and inturn made people a fan of those shows.

Episode 3

The boys need one more guy to participate in the culture festival, and they have their sights set on Sho Tokugawa, who is part of the university's gymnastics team. But that won't be easy seeing that their routines are too naive for him. So they practice for their new routine for him in a week, and they get inspiration from the squirrel Rocky that Sho loves so much. One week later, the boys show great improvement and Ton can backflip and with Sho seeing the team's determination he joins under the condition that he doesn't do any stunts. Sho can be so tough to reach, but in the end the team got their guy. Next up, it's onto the festival now that they have enough members to participate in it.

The story is progressing well with trying to win over the 7th target member but I sure want to hit that guy in the head...The cheering club is barely starting.

But I noticed the animation is indeed lacking in this episode and hopefully they really animate all the tumbiling, somersault , backflips. The quality is down.

Well these guys are in their early 20's and so they are still flexible lol, The only rolling around I did was front roll and back roll for aikido I never learned any tumbling moves ...
I always wanted to learn them...

Episode 4

Sho is teaching stunts, and they need a place to practice that has a roof on it. Haru has been given the role of the flyer, meaning that he's the one doing the stunts in the air, which he's struggling with. As it turns out, Haru is afraid of heights, while Sho won't be able to attend the joint practice as he has a part time job. Haru finally gets to know that girl who he keeps on running into in Chihiro. Things don't go so well as everybody's forms are off and Haru's motivation comes into question. As for the team name, the boys become the Breakers to break the mentality that cheerleading is for girls only. That was pretty good seeing the finally getting on the same page.

So they got their team names now.

While this episode was still repetitive in pacing, I did like it better than the previous ones as it made the presence of female cheerleaders more known. And so far, their skills are much better than the boys. The guys better improve!

Episode 4 was better for me too.

Alot of energy was being lost in the pacing especially epsiode 3, and just a bit in here too.

but those core exercise , I use to do those everyday for my back and then I had to stop becuase I injured my left shoulder and reinjured my right shoulder. not from the excercises but repetitve lifting

Now that the boys has more resolution to improve and Sho who is their expert member, hope we see the end result since the fireworks in coming. The festival is their goal and then the other members follow. ,I wonder if the real Cheer Danshi men the Shockers back in 2006 had similar challenges. Maybe they shocked a lot of folks from being an all male cheering squad , first ever in Japan

Its too bad that Crunchyroll doesnt have this show because I dont think its getting alot of traffic in Funimation.

Episode 5

That was quite a speech there by Haru seeing that everybody was struggling before it happened, especially Ichiro as he has a sprained wrist. Thanks to Haru, everybody's motivation was taken to the next level. Haru sure does look sharp with blond hair. And so, the day of the festival comes, and everybody is not in the best of moods, and in the end, they put on a nice performance. That was a pretty good episode there seeing the boys coming together like that.

Well they are on the right track with their promotional and techniques. There's a lot of potential for Breakers with their mindset.

Wow nice debut at the festival. Haru has made the biggest leap but the entire group has overcome a lot just to make it to this point in time. I like the uniforms not big on hair color but I see the effect and people are showing interest especially guys in the audience I see more growth potential? I also see a super slow romance possibly with Haru and cute female cheerleader? more to come

I love how they're developing as a team. Haru's grown leaps and bounds in this episode. The performance was pretty rocking; the rainbow hairs added a little flair and the stunts looked good.

The reveal about Ton's girlfriend was hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh at the others' reactions. I think it also helped calm everyone down at that moment.
