I think both Licht and Hyde are the underrated pair. Like their name, there Jekyll and Hyde personality is absolutley amazing and is something that I think alot of people would enjoy seeing more of, also with their back stories. Hyde with Ophelia, and Licht with his parents and also his hair.
Question though, anyone know who voices Greed in the dubbed? I've searched everywhere, and i can't find his name.

Episode 8

Mahiru can't just cut open that ball to get Kuro out. So to get some answers, he sees the mad scientist Johannes and Misono's brother Mikuni happens to drop by. Mahiru ends up drinking a potion to enter Kuro's mind while learning how to break a vampire. While that is happening, the other Eves are planning their mission to rescue Licht and Lawless, and they run into trouble when the floor buttons on the elevator happen to be flipped. Things sure are getting dicey, all while Mahiru can't really do anything about it until he gets Kuro back.

I feel bad for Mahiru this episode.

What an odd cliffhanger though...I bet Sakaya had that well planned from the beginning by manipulating the elevator buttons.

Rule 1: don't drink out of beakers.
Rule 2: don't drink ANYTHING handed to you by a stereotypical mad scientist.

Does anyone know why episode 7 was apparently taken down from Funi and they didn't, as far as I know, post episode 8? I know I watched episode 7 on their site, but it doesn't appear to be there anymore. I am confused. There's nothing in their news feed about it.

Episode 9

Tsubaki is playing hide-and-seek with a bunch of guys in whale mascot costumes. Meanwhile, Misono and Mikuni are battling Sakuya in the bottom floor and as it turns out, they fell for the trap as Licht and Lawless are both on the top floor instead of separated in order to get to Pride. So Mahiru gets a good look into Kuro's past, and he decided that he was going to kill his creator, and that has led to so much regret. In the end, Mahiru was able to get to Kuro, and now he's back after a headbutt. That was quite a thrill ride there, but in the end, Mahiru managed to hold on to the most important thing. Now, he joins the rescue operation that everybody else is having trouble with.

Damn. Licht and Lawless really had some tense rage moment this week.

Nice to see Mahiru being able to help out Kuro in the end, he looked broken at one point.

Well Licht and Lawless are reunited and so are Kuro and Mahiru.

Now we get to Tsubaki's motive.

Funimation sure has been having problems this week. First of all, the Tales of Zestiria videos wouldn't load and now, last week's episode of Servamp was loaded instead of the correct one.

Episode 10

That was some interesting backstory between Licht and Lawless there. Those two had a pretty intense fight. And that backstory about Lawless and Ophelia is just sad. He loved Ophelia, and just when she brought peace with her death, it was short-lived as her country would be wiped from existence. But through all that, Lawless finally emerges as Licht's trusty partner after butting heads.

Pretty decent background story about Hyde Lawless. I wasn't really sold on his character before but he seems much more interesting to me now. Plus, there was also the part about Ophelia and her peace ideals. What a sacrifice she made!

Episode 11

It's Licht and Lawless against Higan, and this guy ignites any wound he creates, while everybody else has their hands full. And in comes Mahiru and Kuro as Kuro's true form is actually a lion and not a cat and the two wipe the floor. And then Lawless turns Higan into a piano for Licht to play, and then shows why he's a hedgehog for the win. So while the two have been rescued, they are not out of the woods as Lila has stolen the tag and Tsubaki has arrived. That was a pretty good fight there and Lawless really showed Higan who's boss, but now there's Tsubaki to deal with.

I have to admit, Kuro and Mahiru always knows how to make an entrance.

Pretty intense episode if you ask me.

Episode 12 (Finale)

So it turns out that Kuro killed Tsubaki's teacher, so it's no wonder why Tsubaki is out for blood. But instead of taking out his anger only on Kuro, he takes it out on everybody with raining daggers. Kuro has transformed into a lion out to kill Tsubaki, but Mahiru puts a stop to his rampage and Sakuya gets stabbed protecting Mahiru from Tsubaki. So after looking into Tsubaki's past, he finally gets Kuro to transform back and Mahiru reaches Tsubaki's ailing heart, and Tsubaki lets everybody live freely. That was a decent end there all going to show that even in the darkest of hearts, there's still some good to be found.

Final Thoughts

This show has a decent story concept, interesting characters, and some nice action. The show started off well in introducing the characters and the whole Servamp system, but as the series progresses, the show becomes too overly complex and comprehensive introducing new characters at a rate that's too fast to keep up with. I often had a hard time trying to keep track of who's who and I felt that things just didn't mesh together in places. That said, the show's story concept is certainly well thought-out and the characters are an interesting bunch to make for a decent show overall.
