It's hard to make romantic relationships last online. Mostly because it's text and you can't physically see them.

Not true for everyone some of us don't need to physically be next to our partner plus video and voice is also added.
I was with my ex for three years and about to go visit her for the first time ever we talked about getting Married a lot and were closer and knew eachother better then most couples i knew.

I broke up with her though because she was an abuser and i got sick of it despite loving her.

A Romantic relationship online is possible and it won't fail unless either person lets it fail with hard work it works just fine.

Though this is from someone who has only dated long distance as i have never met a girl i liked like that in my country ever.
To be honest if someone couldn't do a relationship long distance then i would have serious doubts about dating them when i am right there

I didn’t mean that it applies to everyone. However I can’t help but find it amusing when friends of mine online will get with each other only to break up eventually. I’ve seen it happen time and time again. While maybe some couples may not need to be physically touched. You can’t deny the fact that at some point you long to at least physically go on a date to an amusement park or get an ice cream. These simple things we often take for granted. Online literally people can lie about anything. For all you know I could be a toaster. I always am happy for those who have great experiences with long distance. For me personally never in a blue moon could I do it.

Sure they are desired but not necessary imo.
Also with lies its about trust and what you can prove etc.

I have never dated a girl if i didn't know they were who they said they were (ok i did once but i was stupid back then) i talked to their family and friends so it would be kinda hard for them to lie in my case XD

did you just say to get ice cream?! oh wait (shhh...)
anyway it can be nice to just not think much of it and do whatever not to be a "couple" and yes its sorta funny or annoying (depends on how they do the whole thing)....
else it can be nice to just do it without being a couple, and let things go as they go and let the pieces fall together (connect) better then those before and maybe.. just maybe there can be something out of it.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yeah would be nice to see relationships like that. It's hard for me to know who to take seriously online when they say they met someone online through forums or whatever.

don't need to worry just go out with me
oh well so long you know that the guy on the other side or the girl isn't someone that tries to harm you.. I guess one could be fine.

but to the internet or other areas.. you are most likely would meet someone with mental issues, and some would be a reason why they are there to begin with.
Either to avoid these kind of people, finding extreme things or likings (and why some dating sites can be dangerous)
and much more... and its just time consuming.

Develop new interests and activities to do to prevent the increase of depression. It's difficult because you have "well idc" kind of feeling, but you gotta keep trying. Even if it's listening to new kind of music, something is better than nothing. Maybe lay away from the forums a bit and hit the gym or join volunteer work. Best of luck. Break ups suck, but it's not all over. There's so much more in the world than just getting to know one person's view of the world.
