How do I put it...I love this. I love everything about it. I'll hold it close to my heart forever and ever, no matter how much I might end up crying in the end.

Interestingly, This show, like Time Travel Girl, seems like it combines early 2000's character designs and 2016 spec animation. Unlike TTG, this is waaaay better executed. Also, this is a solid short but sadly, I will take a hiatus from it until Funimation's broadcast dub comes out.

I bought the VN a while ago but never had time to play. Once I heard the anime was coming out I debated whether to play it before watching or vice versa. In the end I chose to watch the anime first. I didn't want to spoil it and I figure playing the VN after will both give me more info and let me replay the feels.

Definitely hooked on this one now if I wasn't before (which I pretty much was). Given the already finite time line we seem to be working with, though, I'm really curious how this is going to last a full seasons worth of episodes.

It's not, it's a 5 episode series as well as a sequel type movie coming in September.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. That makes a little more sense then.

Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet EP 2 / "Projector Repair"

Despite having glitches Yumemi is more human like than you think Junker is slowly repairing Jena. Because of the power problems she has onlt 75 hours left before going into deep power conserve / she still needs to shutdown at mindnie for 9 hours ( like cinderella? ) But because of that Junker cant finish asking? like if there are like bulbs . But having a talk turns into afterlife / Heaven in which the staff ( a hologram ) talks about Robot Heaven which she is intersted in. Does she have an awareness that she may not be infinite either. This is just so touching!

Yumemi can smile or be sad / really very human like

Kinda like Cinderella / She shuts down at midnite / the 2nd time Junker smiled at that

Asking about Robot Heaven / her hologram of her human caretakers

That smile is so awesome

Episode 2

Ah caught up to the show, kind of sad that it's a short. But a long short much like Rainbow Days was last season. I feel it the Key feels are coming. The VN apparently came out the same year as Clannad so feels are to be expected.

I love her. She's so precious. She may be all protocol and what not, but she does show a little personality. She seems like she really wants to see the stars. I hope she gets her wish and it doesn't get ruined.

Also since I didn't post in the first episode but I thought it was touching how he went back to her. It was sad when you could hear her saying that she'll wait for him to come back when in reality he may be the last person she ever sees.

Definitely looking forward to more.

Wow this is getting interesting.

The robot girl explains a lot about the stars, constellations, mankind history regarding inventions, and the fact that the planetarium is also a time machine. I also really how like how the storytelling feels so trusting told from Hoshino's point of view. The background imagery and music used also works quite well imo.

Good episode, this is getting more and more interesting every episode.

I like this both for being a nice change of pace, and the bitter-sweet feel it has. That said, I can't help but wonder where this is going. Is this anime just going to be snapshot of a few days or week in the existence (is that the right word for both a robot and human?) of these 2? Or is this meeting going to lead to even greater things? Like perhaps the salvation of humanity. It would be a nice ironic touch, humanity saved by a courtecy robot, who just happens to know about stars. But I wouldn't bet on it from the way this anime feels at the moment.

Episode 3

The show is on, and not even a power outage is going to stop Yumemi from doing what he had been itching to do for 30 years as she takes the customer through time to see what a glorious place it was. That was nicely done there, and it just goes to show how depressing things are now that the world is a wasteland. That was pretty bittersweet, but she did get to have one last show before the last of the emergency power went out. Now that the show has ended, it will be interesting to see what the last two episodes are about.
