Episode 5 (Finale)

That was pretty sad the way things ended there with Yumemi taking the blow to save the junker, but nevertheless it was nicely done. She went out doing what she had always wanted to do, and that is to serve humans. In the end, it was a good thing that the junker brought her along out of the city seeing that he would have ended up dead otherwise.

Final Thoughts

For something only five episodes long, the show is nicely constructed in order to send its message about the worlds of differences between the ages before and after war broke out. Yumemi can get pretty annoying, which is just about the only major complaint I had with this show. Nevertheless, it leaves a strong emotional impact that I have come to expect out of something by Key Visual, albeit of a different type as it involves only two characters.

Episode 5

So, Planetarian didn't make me cry, but I do feel a tad sad now..

Overall, it was a good series and a sad time. Still surprised the same studio who worked on this is the same studio that works on JoJo, haha. Whenever I can, I'd like to play the VN and see the details that couldn't be included in its anime.

Here's to Yumemi's wish!

Episode 5 (finale)

Really good finale. It showed that a robot like Yumemi can express her own wishes and even emotions towards the end. All she wanted is to serve her customers like the Junker she met.

I also really like how they developed the character chemistry between Yumemi and the Junker. He had no reason to stay with her from the beginning but in the end came back to help her, just as she did for him. From what I've heard, this was also faithfully adapted too. Good stuff.

I have to admit I did shed a few tears for Yumemi. It's embarrassing in a long term care place. But I also shed some tears rewatching Anohana. . Why did I do that to myself today?

5 episodes but done really well. Major feels at the end really nice to see Yumemi be at peace when her battery run out.

One of the most touching farewells/deaths this year. To think that it would come from a robot. Pretty amazing stuff that they managed to make viewers feel (at least me) for those two in only 5 episodes. The way they animated Yumemi's eyes and her voice acting were captivating. While short, the combat scenes were intense. Junker seemed very experienced in dealing with those robots (which reminded me a bit of the Dragoons from Starcraft).

On a side note, I recently visited a planetarium. The show had a Viking theme, instead of the Greek mythology in the earlier episodes. It was a quite an enjoyable experience. I have always lived in areas with a lot of light pollution. The show made me want to drive out to more remote places and check how the stars truly shine at night.

One of the more interesting experiences I had in the Navy was going topside on a submarine at night in the middle of the Atlantic, a thousand miles and more in any direction from any light pollution... The stars truly looked so close and bright like I could just reach up and pluck them from the sky.

Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet EP 5 / Yumemi's Wish

I am drained that was so sad but Yumemi had a lot of good memories. Saving Junker was a set directive. However she was so human like wanting to cry and you here a sense of sadness. Hopefully Junker can do something with the memory !

Yumemi was better at being human than humans .Look at what they did. The religious concept by Yumemi was quite compelling another human belief
The raindrops were her tears .. The ED after credits Junker says I am a starteller was quite nice

Why she saved Junker

Yumemi has nice memories and well liked

It was kinda sad she really thought no humans would come back !

Yumemi conceot of Heaven was very deep

She had feelings The rain was quite well timed for her tears

DUBS are Starting will rewatch!
