In some European countries, you can't even show the swastika as its illegal, and for good reason too, if you take in to account what those countries had to go through in the 40's.

I completely understand that Nazism is not the only thing that the swastika symbol represents but it is the thing 99% of people associate it with. You don't want people thinking you're a Nazi sympathizer. (unless you are, that is).

All I could think of reading the post was John Oliver summing up Brexit's mania for the "$350M to the NHS" slogan, despite Farage's admitting after the vote that it might have been mistaken, as "Right up there among Bad morning-after ideas with 'What is a swastika, and how do you remove a tattoo?'"

Unless you plan to tattoo a little disclaimer under it saying "This -> is an Eastern religious symbol, which I adopted for spiritual reasons, despite everyone's widespread misassociations with it, since the more well-known version went the other way", in which case you wouldn't have much arm left.
If you don't know...don't fool around with it just to show off. And if you DO know, you've officially signed your public waiver to let everyone else treat you as an a**hole.

My advice: if this is what you're thinking while sober do not ever mix alcohol and a tattoo parlour. That's good advice in general, but for you it's potentially life saving.

Terrible idea. Any tattoo that requires a lengthy explanation is usually a terrible idea.

I'm not a fan of tats, but even people who like tats would agree that is a very stupid idea.

I'd say it would be ok if you had in on a place on your body where it isn't visible, however if it's vissable... Well then you're fucked and will get smashed down the floor. Oh and btw it's considered a sin in most religions to have tattoos, or rather self harm as a tatoo can be seen as

Because of the stigma surrounding it, yes, it's a terrible idea. A tattoo is on you forever, unless of course you have it "removed" which doesn't always do the whole job anyway.

I promise you that when people see the swastika, they aren't going to pay attention to the direction it's arms are pointing, they're going to go "this jackass has a swastika on his face" - or whatever. Hey, people do it.

Its known for Nazi. :/ Even if you explained it to angry people they'll think you're making up excuses.
