Plot Summary

Hikari Kohinata is a cheerful 15-year-old girl who lives near the ocean and she spends much of her time diving as a result. On her first day of high school, she meets a teacher who also likes scuba diving. There's also a 16-year-old classmate, Futaba, who gets dragged along in Hikari's maelstrom as soon as they meet at school. Most of the manga so far details the relationship between the two girls, which quickly seems to move into romantic two girl friendship-territory.

Episode 1

So it begins with introductions as Hikari and Fubata become friends pretty quickly, and their personalities couldn't be any more different. Pikari is quite affectionate about scuba diving, while Teko is so unsure about herself. But the outlook on life begins to change seeing that htis is supposed to be a fun time for her. It's just as I have come to expect coming out of a story with the same vibe as Aria. Junichi Sato does it again, and it's great. I remember Aria for those funny faces. That's a great way to start this.

That was...so graceful and sweet. OP song is charming and comfy with a smooth tone while we get introduction of the main girls. I got some the atmospheric feel similar to Aria from the episode. Even some of the character expressions is similar.

Hikari is the funniest to watch. Futaba's appearance is really beautiful imo. Got pretty much everything I had expected from the episode and quite pleased.

There's no fan service at all despite most of the setting taking place around the beach. ED theme song is also smooth and comfy imo.

Episode 1

Everything is Amanchu is sweet and fantastic.

The art looked great, the music sounded terrific, and it has that feeling of something fresh. Seeing the ocean is what gets me due to me loving oceans/beaches.

Oh, the character designs look fine as well!

Not sure why but this anime has a laid back feel to it similar to Flying Witch not sure if its in the country or not? I can tell I am going to like it just because of the 2 MCs very cute. PS I like the girl dresses nice look for school uniforms.

This show deserves a bonus for actually having full length dresses for School Uniforms, instead of the usual barely covering the crotch mini-skirts typically shown.

Episode 1

I know anime characters do weird faces but this one makes it feel like I'm watching a puppet show. Not a bad start to the series nice and calm like flying witch. If turns out anything like it I'll enjoy it.

That was nice and laid back, and I hope it stays that way. But yea, puppet faces might take a bit of getting used to, but not in a bad way.

I loved the first episode of this show. I'm watching a lot of anime this season, and I can say with confidence this will be one of the best. It was so graceful and sweet with a lot of great humor. I can't wait to see where the next episode takes us.

Quite a wonderful first episode. The animation is beautiful, and the characters (especially Pikari) are already adorable. The grandma seems cool too.

Watching Pikara and the other divers, I had a sudden yearning for scuba diving. The water looked so cool and comfortable. The classroom scene with Futaba reminded of my introductions. Its such a small, insignificant thing but for some reason I worried about it so much.
