I did enjoy the show.
Something a bit more mature.

The real (Alcohol) Prohibition era happened in the USA, the trailer shows an old Italian/european looking city setting.
Is it set in a fictional country/alternate 1930s?

I'm still curious about the series.
To those who've seen it, is it as good as you expected it to be?

As far as I know, it's set in a fictional town in the U.S.

I see, I guess they wanted to blend the mafia/gangster theme usually linked with Chicago and New York with an old European looking like town/city setting.

It looks like they combined Pittsburgh and Paris.
Saw that island with a church and couldn't not think of Paris.

Found this last night and was most impressed. Its no often you find an anime/manga etc that (almost entirely) eschews the particular culture to treat it purely as a medium for telling a good story.

A pretty good story so far, promising more to come.

Anyone wanna take bets on it getting almost ignored because there's nothing "flashy" about it?

Looks like this is going to be a brutal one. I can't quite put my finger on what it is I don't like about the setting of this one. I guess it doesn't really have that "American" feel to it. The setting really has that European architecture and culture that seems like it doesn't fit with the storyline. Characters have yet to really shine, so I'll keep quiet about that. The soundtrack is really nice with that selective use that ranges from complete silence at the right moments to heart thumping intense tracks for action scenes. VA's seem nice and art is so-so imo. I kind of wish Gangsta was a lot more like this than the sci-fi route it took, but each has it's own style. I do get the feeling already that this is going to be one of those overpowered MC type protag-kun's that manages to wins fights with minimal effort. Hopefully I'm very wrong about that.

Episode 2

There's a lot of bad blood between the Vanetti and Orco families. But to Avilio, that presents an opportunity for himself to get close to Vanno and use that to set a trap. He gains Vanno's trust as he was sent to assassinate Fango, but he got away. Then at Tronco's grave, Vanno killed his killer Serpente, and then at the right moment Avilio turned his gun on Vanno. That was a dirty trick there, but he took out one of the guys who was responsible for killing his family.

This show has really been great, and it continues to tell a great story about how life tough is with mafia wars going on at a time like this. I must say that when it comes to shows with Days in their name, this one is 91 times better than the other such show this season.

Yeah two episodes in and I just don't care at all. I'm sure they're doing what they're doing well but it's just not connecting with me even slightly. Not going to be back next week on this one.

First Erased, then Re:Zero and now 91 Days is at it again with the cliffhangers. That last part of the episode with Angelo and the others in the cemetery was an incredible way of setting up a cliffhanger, I'll have to come back next week only because of that xD. But honestly the anime is still great in every way, but remembering the names will be a bit difficult, but they're not Japanese names so it won't be that hard.

Really solid show, I'm really excited to see what will happen next.

I think this is my favorite of the summer season so far. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about. The animation is tops, along with the music and character development.

I wouldn't say ts my favorite but its definitely a well done anime overall. Its not my favorite genre.

We know he was going for revenge and most likely creating a turf war....well its going to be pretty bloody.

The question is....is our 2 main character going to live or die at the end of the show.

This is a good show and I'm liking it, but I got a feeling this might be a good candidate for me to backburner and marathon it when it is finished. Lots of names and machinations make it dense to follow after a week passed...
