for sure.. but not now.

i feel it will happen due to resource shortage, after we expended every last scrap this world has to offer.

but until then everything becomes more conjoined..

ill predict around 2050

unless some extreme technologies step in to fill the voids and save everything. we could be on that path to.
but its definetly "do, or die" time for the human race in my opinion..

The way things are going currently, it is small possibility. The media is more focused on causing chaos than keeping people informed on what is going on around the world.

I don't feel like posting every reason which I believe could lead to WW3. Here are a few current events.

The US activated a missile defense shield in Romania.

Vladimir Putin is frustrated at the US / NATO over this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PgSX-WD96Q

Putin quotes that he doesn't know how to get through to the US / NATO anymore.

The US and Russia have debates over Syria. China and Russia are upset over the US missile defense system in South Korea. China is concerned the missile defense system has some reach on their territory.

On top of this, there is another massive banking failure looming over us. Nations are becoming more aggressive in protecting natural resources.

North Korea is rumored to be getting nuclear material from Iran. Iran has been threatening to annihilate Israel. This list of WW3 situations are endless.

I think conventional war more than likely would happen, nuclear war is less than likely but a possibility. Any nation that uses nuclear weapons knows that they will be retaliated against. I did read a article that Russia and China have tons of underground bunkers to hold a large number of its people.

Some even say that WW3 has already started for many years. But people will agree or disagree on that.

There are too many things that are going on behind the scenes that we don't see. I could see WW3 happening in our lifetime. Just not sure it will be a all out nuclear war. If nuclear war happens, it will be a last resort for the nation the fires the first nuke as that nation will be wiped off the map.

At least in my opinion. That is my 2 cents.

actually, the pope said we are in ww3 right now, ww3 doesn't have to be nuclear, it just has to be conflict globally, which we have, look at Europe dealing with the migration crisis, and Syria, rusia, iran, Iraq

technically we are in ww3 right now

Peace is just simply preparation for the next war. But I doubt we're close to starting WW3. Eventually it will come but there will be other wars between now and then. In fact, I think US is closer on having a civil war rather than WW3 coming any time soon.

I just don't see another "World War" ever happening again. I mean, there'd have to be tons of things falling perfectly in place for something like that to happen.

I don't know. World War I kicked off because an unpopular guy met a terrible fate, World War II basically started because an unpopular guy wrote a terrible book. It seems like there are plenty of unpopular European people just waiting to be the catalyst for a new one.

I don't think there will ever be something like that. People love money and nukes will vaporize all the money.

After the end of the Cold War certain intellectuals talked about 'the end of history', that large scale conflicts were now a thing of the past and the current status quo would be maintained forever. Of course, I knew better than that; you only need to understand that infinite growth is impossible in a finite world to see that global conflict is never too far away. So, as far as I'm concerned the events of recent years (and 2016 in particular) aren't a aberration, rather this is global politics returning to normal - as war once again becomes an acceptable tool of statecraft.

The news is always exaggerating events that happen, they only go on speculation but whether it will happen or not is another thing. But after Vietnam there is definitely more caution about going to war since the ones that take the blunt of the attack are the people fighting it and with all the inner conflicts going on, a war would not be in anyone's favor. I'm no expert but that's just my opinion on it. (assuming my opinion matters on the internet lol)
