24 hours ago I was new to Manga, I've since then binge read "A silent voice - Koe no Katachi" without realising it was only 62 chapters.

I feel like there is a hole in my chest knowing that I've blown the whole thing in one night.

Has anyone else had something similar?

I stopped reading manga very quickly after giving it a first chance, because I simply cannot pace myself. I go through every single page too quickly and do not give enough time to properly appreciate every scene.

Just about any time I come across a new manga I chew through it in a day or two.

This is literally me right now, I just started reading manga for the first time and now I can't stop. Thanks for the recommendation though, now I've got something to fill the void for a few hours haha

Something similar is hard, as A Silent Voice is unique in a lot of ways (it is just about the best depiction of bullying, teen suicide, and disability I've ever seen in a manga). Still, other really good ones that might do the trick, most of which have a similar feel (walking the line between comedy, slice of life, romance, and some pretty serious teen drama):

On CR:
---------
Mysterious Girlfriend X: Slice of life/romance about an extremely strange girl, the "normal" guy who falls for her, and their bond of drool. (Not really all that similar, other than being a slice-of-life/romance.)

Not on CR:
--------------
Can't See, Can't Hear, But Love: About a deaf woman married to a blind man, and the many problems they have to deal with. (Korean manwha/webtoon.)
Kare Kano (AKA His and Her Circumstances): Deals with the inner lives of a complex cast of characters, most of whom are loners or come from bad family situations.
Cat Street: About a school that becomes a safe-haven for kids who dropped out of normal schools because of bullying, depression, or other issues.
Fruits Basket: Orphaned girl helps heal her own wounds, and those of the somewhat disturbed (and disturbing) family that takes her in.
Yasashii Sekai no Tsukurikata: About four girls who all have some serious issues (but are trying to pretend to be normal) and the teachers who help them.

I tried (emphasis: try ) to limit one chapter a day. I thought if I read it back in those days when it came out at one chapter every two weeks, I am still way faster.

In the end, I finished "A Slient Voice" in about two weeks' time. And then I reread it from the beginning. This time around I managed one or two chapters per day.

It's good to know I'm not alone in this, i'm not sure what made me read it as my first, I seem to be getting a thing for 'Slice of life' I guess :)

Thanks for all the recommendations I will defiantly look them up! Hopefully as I read it so fast I can enjoy it again later, the characters where so good. I hear there is a film coming out in September so that's something to look forward to!

I do this all the time too . I can't remember which series at the moment but I recall reading a 192 chapter series in 3 days (while in the hospital). It didn't stop there though as every time I find a new series I blow through it in one or two nights and anxiously wait for next chapter. I used to do this with American comic series I'd missed as well, it can be a bad habit but it's great for when you have trouble sleeping.

Read through all 115 chapters of Fuuka and everything released so far of Scum's Wish. The worst part is anime is a week wait, manga is usually a month.. what to do in the mean time? I usually re-read, find other manga, or go the LN route. At least LN's take usually a couple days lol.
