A lot of people say no, but in 90+% of cases, it probably is.

I mean, most people wouldn't go to a man and talk about how they look unattractive unless they're on late night comedy or something (no offense to late night comedians; I watch that stuff too), however for some reason it's a lot more acceptable/common to do it to women. That's sexism (yes, even if girls are commenting on another girl's appearance. You can be ...-ist to your own category).

Oh really? It's not like women say men are creepy or awkward looking. A guy never walks up to a chick and she looks anywhere but at him because she doesn't want to be seen near him. No, never. Women are fucking angels. They'd never judge a guy based on his appearance.

You're right on one thing. Women don't usually outright call a dude ugly, they'll just make it obvious through their body language and to everyone fuckin' else.

Man, what kind of tinted glasses do you people fuckin' wear?

It's ridiculous to try and say that these "acts against men" are just as bad as how women are treated due to the body language that everyone uses to convey any feelings that they have at any given time regardless of gender. There's a difference between not liking someone's appearance and actually saying it out loud.

Yeah, in general women are far superior for talking shit behind people's backs instead.

Lmao. Fuck dude. If that's your crowd stick with it. Just don't spray your garbage with the scent of flowers.

Sure. Why not. The word has been hijacked to mean anything even remotely offensive, so whatever. I don't think it is. Hell, it outright isn't, unless you were to then treat that women differently because of her appearance, but even then, that would be questionable. If you would also treat a man differently for not being attractive, then you're not sexist, just an arsehole.

Dictionary, people... Ah, forget it. Telling people what is an isn't sexist/racist is like trying to keep up a sinking ship.

I think it is. It feels as if you're devaluing their worth to their appearance because their argument is something you rather not confront.

What do you think?

I think you should get a haircut and remember to put on your deodorant.

But seriously, we're talking about unrevealed motivations. Sexism is an issue that revolves around jobs, education, and legal rights being available to men and women equally. It's not about being the thought police. It's fine to take a stance against abusive behavior, but there's no reason to make assumptions about whether or not the abuse was because the victim was a woman. The abuse was wrong, either way.

but this is just my experience with men who in general tend to single out women for their appearances.
only that is the case with many women as well only that they bite back in some areas as well sometimes more against each other.
(at least in some areas and age periods)
Where the ex-stripper that wants me now... -__- says and repeats "don't think women are that nice".

nope, just pretty much an asshole. I don't think I've ever called a woman ugly to her face. Not to say I haven't thought it sometimes, but it's fucking rare, I mean you'd have to be really ugly.

I guess the better question is, is singling out women for their appearance sexist? Is it latent sexism to talk about Will Smith's and Jared Leto's acting ability, but to talk about Harley Quinn's actors appearance and so forth? Is Trump sexist for how he talks about a woman's appearance without tackling her argument, whereas he has a different approach to males?

Maybe the actor isn't fit enough, his voice not deep enough, or maybe he's too hairy. Maybe he's too overweight.

Do honestly think women don't discuss these things?

As for Trump, he just seems more like an jackass in general. I wouldn't place my bets on assumption making, or as Kavalion wonderfully put it, 'thought police'.

The first part seems more like a redirection that says "women are sexist too". I'm not trying to single out men for sexism. :/ Though I guess you may have a point, but that wasn't what I was trying to say.

Ah, and I see your second part. Hmmmm.... I guess I was trying to peg a label on him.

From what I notice, people are assholes. It does not matter if you're male or female. If you're female, they'll probably throw sexist insults, but that's only because they know it'll piss you off or hurt you. They usually don't care that you're male or female, they only care about what you react most to. So from this standpoint, it's not exactly a gendered issue.
