Man and sir, it's just the way I grew up. Unless they're in your age group, you say 'sir' or 'ma'am', just out of respect.

Would you rather be called a boy or a man?
Would you rather be called mr. or sir?

So, what was the first day YOU walked into a store and the college part-time employee called you "Sir" or "Ma'am"?

(Y'know in anime, when the appearance-obsessed comic female character starts getting eye-twitches when a kid says "Oba-san"?)

If I had to chose,
Woman - Ms. ~
Ma'am makes me sound so old- and it's the word I used when a relative I didn't know very well wouldn't stop ranting to be about things I found ridiculous.
(Yes it's happened before)
But I prefer people to call me by my name or my nickname. ^^'

Girl/Ms I suppose, though even Ms. is really formal to me because I'm only 15 and don't think I deserve that much respect haha. I prefer my name?

I never think of myself as a man despite being of age. I guess I'd identify myself as male- plus in CSGO when referring to the teams it's "Let's go boys!"
