One Piece, it has less fillers, and when it does have filler they feel like a part of the story, Naruto's fillers feel too out of place, especially in recent years with Shippuden.

I like both of them. But the thing is I would say Naruto hands down if it didn't have like 50% filler in Shippuden. Nonetheless Shippuden is a great anime. Some of the fillers are decent but they come at bad times usually. One Piece is awesome because it has hardly any filler and I just love the whole concept of devil fruit powers. The fact that Luffy has rubber powers just made the show really interesting.

At this point in time, I don't like either much.

However, I found the characters in Naruto a lot more likable and it genuinely kept my interest through character and story for a good long while, before it became more painful to watch than not.

One Piece I tried to watch and never really got into. I don't like Luffy at all. I don't particularly like most of the other characters either. I kept sipping it a couple of episodes at a time every once in a while but didn't get to anything that made me want to watch the next episode until I got to the Arlong Park arc. So, I thought at that point I might get hooked, but then there were way too many over-the-top fights that were way too long and my interest dropped once again. Every once in a while I do dip my toe back in for an episode but I don't really have much hope that I'll develop any real affection for it.

So, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden is like an ex-lover I had passion for but got tired of over time, as it seemed they just stopped caring.

One Piece is like an acquaintance whom I'm not really interested in that way, but whom I'm willing to hang with for a short time every once in a while when bored.

I don't watch either anime anymore but One Piece's manga is really thrilling to read every week. I won't spoil anything but you guys are gonna be hyped on Zou if it gets animated properly. One Piece just has deeper characters and the world IS HUGE and the world building is done amazing. And fear not, One Piece will end in our lifetimes.

I actually kind of agree. The characters in Naruto are more likable. The fights are also not so drawn out. But I've watched all episodes so far in One Piece (yeah I have no life). My favorite arc was when Luffy fought alongside Whitebeard to rescue Ace. Arlong Park was pretty good. That's when I admired Zoro more for being able to take down the 8 sword style user octopus dude.

I don't read the manga but I'm thinking I should. 1 episode per week gets me depressed. I used to love watching like over 10 episodes per day back when I was marathoning it. Apparently in the manga they are always 1 arc ahead of the anime.

Yeah sometimes they get as far as 2 arcs ahead, but when you have an arc like dressrosa that was like over a year long the anime catches up. And that's what the One Piece fillers are for, in order for the source material, the manga to put some distance between itself and the anime.

One Piece has a new episode every week and Oda has to put out a chapter every week (usually takes a week break to pace himself once every 6 weeks) but it's not like there are months at a time in between seasons or anything. The man, works hard.
