You're never too old! As long as you enjoy it that's all that matters!

I'll be watching anime till I die

People who say you are too old to watch anime sound like people who've not watched much, if any, anime. I wouldn't take their comments to heart.

You are never too old to watch something animated. There are plenty of animated shows made in the US that are for adults. As I got older, I very much prefer more cerebral and/or dramatic animes than what I used to watch ten years ago. My tastes did change, but I don't plan on completely stopping anime simply due to the misunderstanding that anything animated is for children. If I do mention a show to someone else, I talk about the show itself, not the fact that it's animated, unless I know that person watches anime as well. Some of my recent favorites were Parasyte, Erased, and I'm liking 91 Days so far.

iam 35 so i'd say no. I guess sometimes some anime seems cheesy or less exciting or makes you feel like a pervert but overall, no.
Some anime maybe yes but yeah overall no.

You could show the people telling you that some mature shows like Cowboy bebop Hellsing Ultimate, or something made by Satoshi kon, like paprika or Paranoia Agent

They might just change their mind and you could have a chill day watching anime together

You're a grown man?
You pay your taxes and bills?
You can watch whatever you want. Don't let people stop you from doing what you love. You're not hurting anything. They can mind their own business.

If you ever go to a big anime convention then you'll realize that you're not too old to watch anime

Yeah, but it's ok if you like Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or whatever those kids watch these days I will keep my anime until my last breath, thank you very much. But if you like those kind of shows and anime, I don't see an issue. Just don't shove said shows down my throat... not interested!

You are never to old to like something. It's like C. S. Lewis said:
“ When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

@OP I got into manga at the age of 7. My dad had come home to Scotland on leave and with him, a pile of Japanese magazines and comic books. That was June 1980.

Man, I wish I still had them, but I traded them for Mayfair's and Fiesta's over the years (soft core adult mags of the time in the UK).
