Seeing junk like this in the dark.

When I was like 5, my godsister brought me to an old villa that her family owned that was like 200 years old. We went up to the upper entryway, and the first thing I see is a pair of red glowy eyes. She ran away and left me up there, and I pissed myself.

As a kid I had a very absolute fear of hypodermic needles. Even if someone else was getting a shot I'd be off and running.

When I was in the second grade, my Bro and Sis took me to the movies. I did ask if they were spooky movies and they said "NO". One of the movies was "Invasion of the Saucer Men". These were your typical bug eyed, big headed, skinny bodied aliens that were in the movies back then. After seeing that movie I was terrified of the dark and being alone at night. Couldn't sleep unless my head was under the covers.

In my teens that movie was on TV and after watching it again. Found out what caused all those years of fear.

The fuckers had hypodermic needles that would come out from under their finger nails.

Actually in a way it helped to understand the why of it all. Never has another movie, book or story caused me any problems. The "Exorcist" in parts actually made me laugh.

When I was a kid, I saw that scene in that one Indiana Jones movie where the guy gets his heart ripped out. It absolutely terrified me.

Oh I love that movie, as a child I had and kinda still do to a certain degree have a fear of the dark, a very cliché and irrational fear of children which spawn the likes of the Boogeyman and monsters under the bed and in the closet.

The attic door that was in my room terrified me as a child. It didn't help that I'd never actually seen what was behind it. I'd stare at it at night when the house was really quiet.

Walking across multiple sets of train tracks. Had lots of nightmares of oncoming trains and getting confused about where was safe to stand.

I'm afraid of the grudge. *//*. I just went to a "Babymetal" concert in Seattle and the guitarists/drummer were dressed like the grudge. It was so terrifying ;-;

This thing. Aka "The Groke" or "Mörkö" if you will.

Basically The Groke was pretty much all around terrifying character that froze anything it touched. His theme music was terrifying for a two years old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJBaHgWJX_Q

Anyway https://youtu.be/eJv3UM-CuiY?t=99 That was the sound he made.

Now, that sounds a lot like my mothers snoring.(I was very young, it sounded similar enough.) So whenever I woke up at night when I was young I basically shivering in fear as I thought The Groke was coming.

I watched "Jumanji" when I was a kid, and I was always uneasy around plants and snake-like animals 'til about high school.
Tentacle porn, 'tis truly a fate worse than death.
