While I'm not overweight by any stretch of the imagination, I work a high-stress desk job, have poor sleeping habits, maintain a fairly unhealthy diet and drink copious amounts of alcohol.. I'm also getting old, apparently.

I kept it from my family, but I woke up a couple times with all the classic warning signs of a heart attack. It actually frightened me enough that I set aside the time and started working out again. I haven't done anything else about the numerous ways I'm slowly killing myself, but it's been a while now and it hasn't happened since, so I've bought myself a couple years at least.

Yes I do. I was really stressed about last semester and a couple of number of things I find awful happened. I've been so stressed that my body actually collapsed but I was still awake. It was really strange but all I could see was the color red while my body couldn't move. I honestly thought I lost my sight for a bit

My closest friend who lives somewhere far away now is going through really terrible and traumatic times constantly. I won't go through the details - well it's not like I can as I promised not to but I can to vent it out. I really want to help her situation but I can't seem to do anything for her other than talk about other things which only helps so much. So I feel I guess an emotional kind of chest pain frequently. I kind of came back to this site mostly to keep myself busy or something. Well pay it no mind. I don't want to come off as whatever else.

I get them all the time, sometimes they are due to stress, or the food I eat, other times they just come on randomly. Even now I'm experiencing slight chest pain, I use to feel the pain the most when I missed a certain medication (That I'm off of now), and mostly when I overly ran myself, it would start to feel so tight to the point it felt like it was suffocating me. It not a fun feeling, but it slowly and gradually getting better. I use to have more chest pain when I ate meat, fish, and things that were to salty. Once I cut back / eliminate those things. It got better but I still get the pain at times and it never pleasant.

Since I was a youth. Can't really explain them. They just sort of turn up, cause a lot of pain, like really tight squeezing, on occasion I've been brought to my knees, then just as quickly... Poof. Gone.
Never got them dealt with. My step-mother was a lesbian ice maiden and wouldn't take me to the doctor because I was just 'making it up' and being a problem, so eventually I just learned to live with it. I should probably do something about it.

^ I have the same thing but always figured it was existing damage from having pneumonia often when I was younger. Maybe not? I don't get it quite as often as I used to though.

Chest pains in general are not uncommon, especially when young and anxious, but definitely not something to ignore EVER. Work out, eat right, drink a lot of water and be honest with your doctor if you go for a checkup.

I still occasionally get a stitch in my chest when weather fronts change drastically or I laugh too hard, thanks to medical issues as a teen. Yay post-surgery scar tissue

As a child and a young man I did and I have family member that suffers from anxiety and I've seen them have chest pains with panic attacks.

All the time. I'm constantly stressed and anxious and a heavy coffee drinker.

Looking at my past posts, makes me question myself.

Like a lot. Used to think it's bc I was severly underweight. But now that I'm just underweight I still get a lot of it + worse too, so now I have no idea why.
