This is getting out of hand....

The greedy fucking media and politicians that make money off of division are partially to blame for this. Play with fire, and this is what inevitably happens.

If the numbers are speculative why are they reporting it? Why are they relying on sources that cannot be confirmed? So far the news is "A situation is going down," yet they push it beyond the concrete.

Next up, several hours, days of debates among themselves about the future. Prediction. This just in: "Baby seal may be launched into space soon. Source: Three year old little boy. We are going to get this confirmed by NASA in the next couple of days, maybe. I repeat. Baby seals will be launched into space because why the fuck not."

It was worse yesterday during the coup in Turkey. One news source was stating the military had taken over while another was saying the opposite.

Unfortunately that's usually how it is with the news these days, thats why you have to look at multiple sources.

People would criticise them equally if they didn't bother to report on it until all of the facts were released which will probably take quite a while. Besides, it alerts people to the fact that something serious is going on which is news in itself and generates more attention for the news company.

not here, or for the most part.
Where people actually do their job... -___-
But then again they are more united as a big channel not multiple smaller ones with a wide range of different info some false some true.

That's the main problem with our news outlets. They center their headlines around >getting attention when it should be centered around >informing the population and >fact.

I do agree with that, but at the same time the news outlets are there to make money and so they need to look at it from a business perspective. Unfortunately writing fully informative and detailed articles doesn't sell as well as catchy headlines and entertainment articles.

Yeah, That's just the way it is, unfortunately though.

Everyone will be dead soon enough and then no one can kill each other anymore.
