Have common decency, be nice and decent to people just like you would elsewhere. Unless the other person is rude, then it's best to ignore them. I don't see the point of being mean to others, specially online where it's a lot easier to ignore people.

Hello, fellow crunchyrollers.

I would have said yes but I don't know anymore, I find it harder and harder to do so these days w/o somebody running over me mistaking it for weakness or insincerity.

I haven't given up on all people yet, and a lot of people in my life are great and easy to deal with, but its often with the younger generation and it just becomes a headache to deal with them.

I know there are still good people mixed in with the bad, and people taking advantage of people's kindness thats mostly to blame, its just annoying and I've got enough to deal with,

So how do you feel about being nice to those who don't appreciate it-- I don't really care now, I'm nice to those that are nice back and if someone isn't trying then I don't want to, lol. ~

Is it even worth being nice anymore if ppl prejudge you for it. I've seen how being a dick pays more and less considered to be fake than trying to be nice, so I guess I'll be a dick these days.

Yes its worth it imo.

I try to be nice to everyone ^^

I'm nice down to my very core, so I really don't have a choice. If someone's telling me they hate my guts, I'll dislike them, but as soon as they change their attitude, we're cool.

Being nice is common sense. But this is the internet and therefore you shouldn't take what other people take too seriously. Chances are they don't know you therefore there is no point. Especially if it's a troll

I'm generally nice on the Internet. I just have a low expectation that people will return the kindness.

I don't really see a reason to be nice or mean to anyone, I just make all my decisions based on what I think will give me the most personally desirable outcome. I've never really been bothered by being called anything really, and its pretty difficult to get me angry.

It just seems correct. It's not tough to be nice to people if you ask me.

I'm not (asking you).

meh I'm not wasting my time on assholes, got better shit to do. I give nice people the time of day.

so yeah the point is to enjoy other nice peoples company. and if you're pleasant back, it works out well.

Anymore? We were originally never nice to people online. We just didn't care to talk about real life issues; We were on the internet to escape real life issues. In this day and age, everyone we tried to escape from is found on the internet, so much that we, who originally sought out the internet to escape you, are returning to real life.

We?You? Excuse me, who the fuck are you, the borg? Come to assimilate me? Ok, lets say thats everybody, so what, and how does that counter my argument in any way shape or form?

I don't think the internet would be as magical if people were just as nice on it as they are in real life.

No, it would be less bullshit and less smoke and mirrors all around.

I try to be kind most of the time. From personal experience, hurting people doesn't make me feel better or solve anything (often the opposite, in fact). If someone spits in the face of that I either call them on it or cease any interaction with them.

There're roughly 7.5 billion people in the world. Who's got time to waste on someone determined to be irritating?

According to Hrafna, everyone does. *shrug* That seems to be why I'm ganged up on my thread as if its a red herring when its not. can't be nice to fakes or creeps and come out dignity intact. Unless you are stupid. >:c

(caveat: get off your high horses, holier-than-thous, there are no nice people, as they say the road most traveled is the road to hell. )

1. I'm 99% sure what he said flew by you.

2. Back in the day, or so I've heard, people were pretty big assholes on the internet. Makes me look like a pretty princess in comparison.
